Should hook a strap or the winch to the abandoned rigs and dragged them to the side of the road. That crap drives me nuts.

    This is what I want!!

We pulled a couple people out and off the road, but it hard to pull an abandon vehicle up hill blocking the road. The new talks about people helping each other but you can help someone who leaves their POS in the roadway and is nowhere to be found.
Did take my sons truck with the shell on it to shuddle the smart people home through the neighborhood up and down the steep hills. Also, taught my 16yr. Old how to drive in/on snow/ice.

Yea I didn't mind too much but could've done without the hrs of shoveling. The roads were insane for a day or two. The state plows that are normally used in CT were useless for a day or two. State contracted companies in construction business to use loaders to remove snow. The piles on the sides of the roads were 5/6 tall. It was like driving in small ravines.

Served as a couple of wakeup calls....

Served as a wakeup call for those who mock preppers.

Served as a wakeup call for preppers who haven't fully thought out how they will get to their bugout location if they can't shelter in place.

As bad as any holiday Friday traffic is, there should be no doubt that when SHTF, all roads will be 100% impassible even if they are 100% usable.
Toss in a little foul weather or earthquake damage and it doesn't really change anything other than how long everyone will sit there not moving.
Holiday Fridays, it will often take me 3 hours to make my 40 mile commute home.

Supposed to have 3 storms with a 24 hour in between....bring on some snow!

of course, last weekend our forecast was just a dusting and we ended up with 1.5"....

I won't know when severe weather is heading my way now that direct tv has dropped the weather channel. Can't even watch those clips of cantore taking someone out with his knee.

I don't miss the weather channel and Weather Nation channel isn't to bad. Frankly, I was getting sick of the weather channel. Naming winter snow storms is alarmist and half the time when I wanted to see potential severe weather, they were running a documentary. Just give me the weather without the alarmism or commercialism. I mostly use intellicast.com for all my weather needs now.

 Yeah that was funny to see.

It's weird to me that they dropped that channel. But I agree. The winter storm naming is a little ridiculous. I do like a couple shows they have on. That would be the only thing I'd miss.

The weather channel went down hill when NBC bought them. They started with "programming" and adopted a political ideology that I don't always agree with or think is necessary as part of weather forecasting.

I get my weather info from weather underground.

That jerkoff wronged some of my family out of some land right outside of Bozeman. I don't know the details because it was a long time ago, and I was real young, I just remember my Dad and my uncles talking about it. I'll have to ask them about it next time I see them.
    Sorry.
    Back to the weather.

I don't think the coming storms will amount to much since Mike Morgan exaggerates so much, but we will see.
