Is there anyone running 17'' wheels with a 6'' susp. lift. All of the specs I see for the 6'' lifts say to run an 18'' or bigger wheel.

That is what I was wondering.

    I run a 6" lift with 17" wheels and I don't see why that is a problem.

OME complete kit w/ 885s on Nitrocharger Sports, 1/4" spacers, Dakars w/ Nitrocharger Sports, LR UCAs, 265/70-17, Duratracs, G4 Elite tonneau, Weathertech Window Deflectors, Weathertech digital floor liners, factory JBL/Entune, rear differential breather relocate.
Wheel size doesn't matter unless you're changing out brake parts and need more room to clear bigger calipers. You may need different backspacing or whatnot to avoid rubbing but not size.

I couldn't figure out why it would matter?? I just wanted to check before I bought any rims. I have had many, many lifted vehicles & rim size hasn't changed because of lift. Everywhere I checked on the lift said it needed to be 18 or bigger:confused: I was looking @ the Fabtech or Procomp lift

Some kits require larger rims to clear the spindles and other suspension parts on the back side of the wheel. Make sure your back spacing is good based on the kit you are looking at purchasing. I run 18's with -12 mm offset and 4.5 inch backspace and 35 inch Nittos. I had some rear wheel well rubbing but fixed it with a lot of plastic trimming and mud flap removal. I suggest test fitting the rims you are looking at first.

Every drop bracket lift with lift spindles have bigger steering knuckles. So the rims have to be big enough and with a back spacing wide enough to clear it.
