water drips from bedliner after drying truck

anyone else have this problem? It angers me, I have the truck all nice and clean then I drive off and by the time I get home water has ran from the edges of the bedliner all over the rear quarterpanels.

 

I rinse with purified water so it doesn't leave too many water marks. But yeah, happens to me too.

 

So wipe it off with a microfiber cloth when you get home? It takes two minutes. That's what I do.

 

i usualy take it in the mud after i wash it so it dosnt matter to me

 

Go to the auto parts store and get the special towels that will not scratch your paint. I dry off everything good. I bought my towels at Autozone for 8 bucks for around 16 towels that are around 1 foot square. I have a 09, my 08 that I traded in got to the point that I could not get the water marks off. The dealer did though as I saw the black 08 in the lot after the trade-in. Guess they used buffers.

I didnt spend 30 grand to have my truck looking like crap, sorry homie.

 

I blow the bed out with a leaf blower...then rinse the bumper one more time because the water that comes out of the bed is not that clean.

Washing on an incline (nose up) helps too.

 

If you add a capful of a waterless car wash, say Optimum No-Rinse, to you wash bucket you will help out those water marks tremendously.

 

I just go to the self car wash. It's like 900 feet from my house.

 

Noooooo... Use water and vinegar!!! i did it on my malibu black and red boat. it was great!!!!!!!!! No water spots at all

 

i get it all the time its not too big of a deal but i see how it could be annoying

 

Just gotta go over it a couple times with a microfiber towel. The water under the bed cap will eventually evaporate as it sits there.

 

Be careful...vinegar is acidic and therefore eats paint (allbeit a small amount). Gelcoat is far thicker than automotive paint and is more forgiving.

 

I use my air compressor. I blast around the door handles, grille, bedliner, etc. It works great!

 

My solution?......Silver.
