    Contacted the fire extinguisher depot..

    What you guys think??

This is what I sent them. hope to hear from them soon..

    Hello,

My name is Ramon Ortiz. I am a member of a popular online vehicle forum, where truck enthusiasts share ideas, modifications, and advice for members that like to work on their vehicles. Recently one of our members discussed how he was able to assist a motorist with a car fire thanks to the availability of a fire extinguisher in their vehicle. Then came the idea of creating awareness In carrying a fire extinguisher in our vehicles. Various members of our online community has shown interest in forming a group buy in purchasing a 2.5 lb or 5 lb halotron extinguisher from your website. If this group buy is formed, would you be able to provide discount pricing? If so, could you provide details and price discount ranges? Say for example, 1 - 10 orders get $10 off, 10 - 20 receive $20 off, 20 - 30, 30 - 40, 40 - 50, etc.

To make sure you get all orders and honor applicable discounts, I've seen other vendors not start shipping until the agreed upon/verified range of orders is reached.

I hope you are interested in providing fire extinguishers to keep in our vehicles.

    Thank you for your time.

    Ramon,

Thank you for your interest! We would be happy to work with you on this.*

Regular price on our 2.5 lb Halotron is $136.90 after shipping. Here are your prices, based on units ordered: (All below prices include shipping)

    1-10 units: $110 each

    10-20 units: $105 each

    20-30 units: $99 each

    30-40 units: $97 each

    40-50 units: $95 each

    50+ units: $93 each

Regular price on our 5 lb Halotron is $187.94 after shipping. Here are your prices, based on units ordered: (All below prices include shipping)

    1-10 units: $170 each

    10-20 units: $166 each

    20-30 units: $163 each

    30-40 units: $160 each

    40-50 units: $155 each

    50+ units: $153 each

I will base the quantity discount off of the total between both extinguishers (2.5 and 5 lb units). So if you bought five of the 2.5 lb and six of the 5 lb, you would be in the 10-20 unit price range for both. All units are brand new, from the manufacturer and come with a vehicle mount included.*

I'd like to provide a 4 day window for the group buy. At the end of that window, the quantity discount would be determined and I would provide you with a special link and coupon code to buy the product at the agreed price level.*

Please let me know how this works for you!*

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
If Amazon has the 2.5 halitron for 99 bucks, these guys aren't cutting us much of a deal unless we get 50 ordered, and there's not enough interest to get that done in 4 days.

Not to be a Debby Downer, but they offer these prices to everybody. See the red text below for whats on the website:

    https://fireextinguisherdepot.com/f...-fire-extinguisher-2-5-lb-ul-rating-2b-c.html

"Buy 3 for $119.95 each and save 5%
Buy 10 for $105.50 each and save 16%
Buy 20 for $99.00 each and save 21%"

I personally think they can do a better price than that, given the Amazon prices.

Now if those prices where for the Black bottles, I would be interested.

    dang.. wow

by four days, she meant that the special coupon code we get would last four days. everyone on the list would need to make the purchase in those four days.

We can build up a list for a month, and then when were ready, we have a four day window to purchase the extinguishers.

I carry a 2A 10B:C Amerex Dry chemical extinguisher. I have put out a large brush fire with about 3/4 of it and contained a fully involved room with the whole thing.

Here is some fire extinguisher knowledge for anyone who doesn't know.

    I have a 2A 10B:C
The A stands for normal combustibles: wood, paper, cloth.
The 2 means though it is dry chem, it does the same amount of work on this type of fire as 2 gallons of water.
The B stands for Liquid combustibles: gasoline and oil.
The C stands for Energized electrical material: engine compartment, appliances, live wires. It is capable of not conducting electricity when used on a fire with live electricity.
The 10 stands for 10 square feet of coverage. So if there is a fire taking up 10 square feet (2'x5') the average user can put it out.

A more experienced user of an extinguisher can easily double or quadruple the ability of an extinguisher. I have put out rather large fires with a 2A 10B:C. So learn how to use one and it will come in handy, otherwise its a nice decoration that takes up space.

PM me for more info, this is the crap I study every day.

Also, Halon, CO2 and Water cans are all useless on a vehicle fire.

Halon is a chemical agent that can kill you in one breath.

CO2 will blow away in the slightest breeze and won't do anything unless you are standing inside the fire.

Water cans are good if you do not mind getting electrocuted.

Again, PM me for info. I can help make sure you guys get the right stuff.
