OEM 2014 Tacoma Navigation Radio

I may have missed this in one of the menus, but anyone know who to lower the volume of the nav voice? It makes my ears bleed.

 

Thats weird I had the same problem with my 2013 radio before I switched but all my dash lights were out and it was a fuse. Check your fuses you never know.

I got an VIN number off of a new Tacoma on eBay to get entune to work.

Please put me on waiting list aswell, just picked up my 2014 with Entune Audio Plus with no navigation and non JBL and I def. need navigation

 

I just picked up my 2014. The salesman touted how the truck had the upgraded radio and I was dumb enough not to check. I have the Entune Audio Plus with no nav and I would really appreciate if I could be added to the list for one of these when available.

 

This is a Prime example of the knowledge by the dealers. Dealers are typically there to know they are trying to sell something. However I believe it will state on the window ticket if it has navigation or not.

Anyone that has this unit been having this particular issue with the weather?

The weather pops on and gives me the current weather where I am when I get in the vehicle on my home screen. But when I head out to other places, the weather never changes or updates unless I hit audio or any other button and then go back to the home screen. There are certain spots where I know the city changes and I have to do this every time in order to see the weather for the new city. Is there a way to set the frequency in which it scans or updates, mine never does.

 

Would this unit work in a 2010 with steering wheel controls, not jbl. What about fit and finish. I always wanted nav & entune, blutooth would be great too.

 

Does anyone know how to calibrate the map?? I'm off by about 500 feet at intersections

 

Mine was the was off too and pointed in the opposite direction. There's a calibrate selection under navigation options where you can adjust your position and the direction that your icon is pointing.

I stopped my truck at a quiet residential intersection then played with adjustments until it was bang on.

 

Purchasing this unit (hopefully very soon!) and in prep I was attempting to register for an Entune account. I just purchased my 2014 Tacoma (1 week ago) with Entune Audio Plus. When I attempt to register I get an error "The VIN you have entered cannot be identified. Please check to ensure you have typed your VIN correctly and the vehicle you are trying to register is Entune App Suite-capable". I am assuming that as equipped my vehicles VIN does not match up to a Entune App Suite-capable device.

Is there a way to have this updated or will I need to use another VIN and if so where would I get it? The only thing I can think of is to visit a lot and grab a VIN. Just don't want to run into future problems!

I am hoping that someone that has already bought one could fill me in!

 

No way to update your vin, I was in the same boat as you. A vin that is related to an entune audio premium or JBL is needed.

 

Will the back up camera work with this? Can you add entune app suite? Have a 2014 sport with entune audio plus. Be interested in one myself.

 

Yes, swapping this unit is completely plug and play, you gain the app suite and navigation, 15 minute swap.
