One of my Co-pilots was a Marine. He said the same thing about how bad ass those tires are. Anything military is always super beefy

Why not just hit up your DRMO for the BFG 37" tires?

They always seem to have stacks of tires up for online auction.

    A) it's been my experience they don't give anything away.

    B) you have to bid in an auction to get them. (it's not impossible, just time consuming)

    C) I am no longer active duty and the nearest DRMO is Lewis/Mchord, which is a 6 hour drive from here.

    D) you can't pick through them and find the good ones. If the lot is for 26 tires, that's what you have to haul off even if half of them are garbage.

Ok so have an issue we haven't been able to figure out. 06 4x4 with a camburg kit the lower uniball nut will not stay tight. Completely came off once already on the freeway. Got it patched up and running. New bolt from camburg then added loctight a lock washer and 2 nuts checked today after only about a week of street driving and it's coming loose again what could be causing this issue?

Well I can tell you that I could not get 18" springs on AP coil overs. Could have got 16". Will need a spring compressor.

screw the lock washer, use a normal washer, grade 8 metal style lock nut, and red locktite, everyone is afraid of red but with a big bolt like that it should not be an issue getting it off

Do you know what the height of the stock coils were. Would it be better the run a 650 lbs 16 inch over a 700 lbs 14 inch coil. Dont want it to be to stiff. Front bumper with winch is going to be nearly 200 pounds plus I have full skids underneath.

I would go with a 16'' coil. You will need spring compressors but it should fit.

I use red on everything along with a torque wrench to recommended values. Amazes me on how many people who never use one

We were thinking of tac but considering it's like a $30 bolt from camburg we reconsidered

So much this! I use red on anything over 1/2" and blue on 1/2" and smaller. Also I use F911 bolts and toplock nuts on everything. If you've ever threaded a toplock nut on you know how hard those things are to back off. Oh and antiseize is your best friend!!

x2 red and wrench to rec specs. red on everything and it isn't a bitch to get it off later like everyone says... better to have a shitty time getting it off than a failure.

    edit: x3 i guess :D

Those who weld: Am I missing anything for now? Jacket, plasma, etc will come later. What do you recommend for wire thickness for gas shielded mig? Chasing down a tank, already have one but not sure if its hydro/theywillfillit. Can you think of anything else i might need for now? Or recommendations for different products in a similar price range?

    Lots of expensive shit
Better welding hood, most the time those pliers are junk. 1 size fits all gloves won't be comfy not to mention, mig gloves are only like 8$, I'd look at a miller performance helmet, pretty nice at a decent price. Your eyes will thank me
