I am looking at getting these lights

    http://www.amazon.com/Depo-Toyota-P...290592&sr=1-16&keywords=depo+headlight+tacoma

to replace my stock units because of scratched up lenses and burnt turn signal lenses.

When I look at these and others, they have something that says "Note w/o Sport Package" or "Not for Sport Model".

My truck is an 09 4x4 DCLB TRD Sport.

Surley there is not a difference between TRD Sport and TRD Offroad headlights...right?

Or is this referrring to something totally different.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

You're probably better off finding a good set of stock ones. These lights always have issues.

Or get TYC ones from rockauto.com - I had one and did not seal it before I put it in and it was great, later replaced with "Depo" black bezel headlights(sealed those though-put silicone all around it).

    Thanks for the replies.

I'll check into the TYC lights.

Not sure I want to shell out for new OEM's because I have intentions to put LED headlights in and may eventually do a retro fit with FX-R's.

    Thanks again

Just checked out the TYC's on rockauto and now I have another question.

Is it worth it to spring for the CAPA certified ( I had to look up CAPA) lights or is there really no difference?

No difference in fitment - just the tint on the chrome pieces in the housing are darker for their sport lights.

I've had a pair of these on my truck for 2yrs with no issues at all. If you get these or TYC lights you'll have to throw another bead of sealant around the housing before putting them on your truck. Extra insurance going gazing moisture.

Are you going by personal experience or spreading what you read on the internet? Pretty vague with "have issues"...fitment issues, alignment issues, fogging up issues?

Hey, I don't recall exactly what I got, I think I just got regular inventory. What are the 3 choices again? Discount, regular inventory, capa?

On the TYC, there are only two choices..."Regular Inventory-$42.79" or "CAPA Certified-$74.89"

Ok, I went with regular inventory, but if you've got the cash capa is better just because it is guaranteed to fit good. Either way, like previously stated, get some weather proof silicone and seal around the headlights to protect them
