    Don't you mean when your masters, the British, burned down the White House during their attack on Washington after Canada went to the Admiralty about American attacks into Canada?

    My war of 1812 history is a little rusty, but I'm pretty sure that America declared war, and launched raids into Port Dover and York. The Canadians complained to the British, who launched a retaliatory attack against the Americans (namely the burning of Washington).
    Broad strokes, obviously.

    Good for you. What type of fencing is that? Haven't seen that pattern before. Looks like it starts at 2" and ends at 6".
