I took my 2wd nissan with my trailer full of crap to green sands yesterday. all the mud pretty much dried up, so that was a waste. kicked back beers at the top of green sands hill and kept on driving. still bored with life and in hilo…what to do on an island!!!!

    Howzit Broda's,

On the Big Island over from Oahu. Our rental car doesn't have the ground clearance to get to Green sand beach and my wife wants to see it for her birthday. Anyone willing to hook us up on Sunday. Willing to pay...

ah man what a bummer that the rental cant make it. Last weekend I drove my loaded down 2wd frontier with a trailer to green sands beach. Ive seen rental vans in there and wouldnt hesitate to do it again(maybe without the trailer tho). If you have some sort of clearance and a good spotter in several places, you can do it. most of the higher roads are smoother, but going along the coast line can be fun too.
Every time ive gone there, there has been couple different local guys, sometimes the whole family, discouraging people from driving in there and they then offer you a ride for $10 a person or something like that. Down side is most of the time they have trucks and being in back gets dusty.
Ill be camping tonight and tomorrow but im supposed to hunt out that side on sunday afternoon. I very well could go south point if its mid dayish, but idk if I would take my taco(bad wheel bearings, but still cruise em).

Seen you. I spent almost the whole day bombing the couple hills with a body board.

yotski was parked bottom left of pic. today it was harder to rush from the top since a lot more rocks are exposed. on friday, that place was fun!
