How is this one attached? I realized after placing mine when turning the wheel it was hitting the bracket. So I'm thinking something along these lines now.

Very true.....I never use my visor so it did not cross my mind. Thanks for heads up though. I agree that above rearview mirror may be the "ideal" spot, but I have a rearview relocate bracket from a member here and I don't think I can go back to the dam thing low again. The view forward with it relocated is way to valuable to me. I like the front top left placement. I will keep it there for now since it's temp anyhow. My wife and the visor hitting could be an issue......

That's what I was thinking. I'm going to try just on the other side so it's between the rpm and mph gauges.

Yep... the rearview relocate mount would change that mounting location.

This is where I mounted mine.

It tucks nicely into the corner where it doesn't interfere with my driving. I can glance at it and keep my eyes on the road. Plus all the buttons are easy to access and within arm's reach.

    From my build:

Ok, as requested. My UltraGauge set up

First, I found this aluminum bracket at Autozone. It's made for mounting GPS devices.

Then I bent it. The wrong way... But it'll do. I used 3M wall mounting snap Velcro shiz I found at Wallyworld. Pretty dang sturdy.

Now, I'm not to happy with the wire. I will need to find a way to route it behind and through the dash. But, this will do for now.

Finally got mine installed, went above the rearview mirror with vertical mount bracket and 3m tape. Love it.

Very easy and clean. Even the pillar bolts came off easy to hide the wire. I think figuring out the setup without the manual was the most difficult since the online manual was for a different version but easy now. Thanks for the mount idea.

    No problem

Here is the link to the online manual. This one worked for mine so hopefully it will be the same for yours.

New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
Ultragauge mounting on a 1st gen, done with 3M Velcro....should work for 2nd gens too...

it is in the perfect place, very easy to update after a fillup, it only hides the OD light which I could care less...it is located in the groove between column and dash, EZ peasey....

Not going into where the Velcro is attached, that is easy anyway....

Winter gas mileage sucks, never really knew this until I got the gauge...usually around 21MPG warm months, higher if freeway driving...

Blocks the speedo.... not my preference for a good mounting spot.

It's not mounted yet. This is just the general area of where I'm gonna put it. I'll put up a pic when I get it where I want it.

Here is where I put it. Doesn't block either MPH or the RPM's (that much). I can see my emergency brake safety light also. [IMG]
