Was wondering if I could get a few opinions on the timing of my upcoming purchase.
I have to move across the country in early April. I also will be attempting to have all-weather flooring installed on a TRD Sport which may prompt a factory order. If this occurs, I will probably not see the vehicle until mid or late March.

If this occurs, and I receive the new vehicle only a few weeks before having to drive a couple thousand miles, will this be bad for the vehicle?

Additionally, will it matter that I would not longer be in the vicinity of the dealership I'm purchasing from right after I get it? (I assume it's easier to have up-front issues corrected by the dealership you purchased from...)

    Thanks all o7

Why don't you buy your truck from dealer stock and order the all weather flooring and install it yourself. It should only take one Saturday to install and then you will have plenty of time to break in your new truck. You might be able to get a better deal this way, or work it into the deal that the dealer installs it. Good luck with the new truck.

One possible downside--from what I have heard, some states will require you to pay their sales tax on any vehicle purchased within a certain time before moving there. I would check on that before buying.

Oh I don't have the know-how or confidence to take out all the seats and rip the carpet out myself.... I can ask if the dealer can do it but from what I understand in talking with a few other guys is that it's a factory-install.
    Hmm...
