Beautiful study on perspective and convergence. The gradually shortening streetlights really bring that to the front.

I sprayed my husband with Axe Body Spray, turned out the lights, and lit him on fire. Don't worry, he's a pyro and loved every minute of it. In the upper left side you can see his lower face and in the middle to the right a bit you can see his hand. I loved this weeks assignment!!

Is that a single, 1-second exposure?
    Looks like multiple exposure.

Last minute entry. Got home from a friend's about an hour ago and realized that I had completely forgotten to take my photo for the challenge! Luckily my idea didn't depend on sunlight!

The winner of the 1 second challenge is...hgfontana!

    26f03485-93bb-465c-8ccc-8335399c3975_zps_057e799f1e65d48dbfef42fa06e08058c5073bac.jpg

Looking at the photo my eyes are immediately drawn to the welder's mask, helped along by the paths of the sparks which lend their support to the composition. The highlights are well-controlled, considering the environment, but I would have liked to see a little more detail in the face of the mask.

I also really liked SconnieHailer's shot of the watch as it literally ticked a second in time. However, my eyes are drawn to the spot of dark wood first and then to the watch.

I really enjoyed looking at all the photos with camera shake, but Chaz's (BuzzardsGottaEat) photo of the ice skating rink was very interesting. At first glance you see a woman skating in the front of the frame, but then off to the sides there are so many other things going on in the background that it leaves you wondering what those people might be doing.

Great submissions from everyone, as usual! I was concerned at some of the initial frustration expressed by some members on needing a certain set of gear to be able to complete this challenge but it's nice to see that you guys found a way to pull through! Looking forward to the next challenge!
