I guess I want more speed for the wraith but some ability to crawl. Best of both worlds. Hopefully changing out the gearing will help.

If your gonna spend that kinda $$ on the CEN I would just get a summit and if you want more speed go brushless with it, it woud be quick and still have the ability to crawl.

Looks like there is some skill involved. Flux is the brushless one?

yeah flux is the brushless one. Wheels and tires make a huge difference with drifting, counterweights and lockers help also.

So I landed a good job at the end of last year and I'm thinking about getting back into the hobby. Sold my wraith and my built slash just before the new job.

I found a wraith roller for $200 obo and a brushless twin hammers no battery or charger for $350 obo. Trying to decide on which one or both. Either way would still like to pick up a short course truck too (probably scte). The house I'm trying to buy is 10 min away from my local track. Does anyone in here even run a short course truck?

Got my SCT fully converted into a truggy last week. got to test it out earlier today. what an amazing improvement.

    Changes include:
-switched from the 2.2/3.0 sct wheels with proline trenchers, to a 2.8'' buggy wheel with track tires
-swapped the larger short course bumpers for the much smaller truggy bumpers
-new rear body mounts with spoiler mount
-swapped the giant, parachuting short course body for a truggy body that nicely contours the chasis.

new additions that were not part of the conversion include new savox servo, and a waterproof receiver box, meaning the entire truck is now waterproof :)

I used the bullet fish weights sold at walmart. They come in 1lb packages and you can cut them to length so they are even in each wheel.Took my tires off and wrapped the weights around the inside of the wheel then put a single wrap of duct tape to hold them in place. Then I drilled a small hole thru the wheel and weights to let air in and out so the tires didnt balloon up.

I used to run tire weights taped around the inside of the wheels too. Looks a lot cleaner since you can't see them. How much weight do you run? I had 6oz up front and 3oz in the rears in my old wraith
