I would tend to agree, but I think overall, NE is stronger than Denver, regardless of the fact that they beat them in the playoffs.
Whether that would have been strong enough to beat Seattle, I doubt it.

Hey man... 49ers and Chargers made the playoffs.
At least Seattle is reppin' the west coast.

Agreed, somewhere in here earlier I said I would rather have Denver than NE. I was much more worried about NE than Denver. Denver has 1 guy. Top to bottom Seattle has 52 better players than Denver. That's not the case with NE.

Wooo, go Hawks! Long time fan, long time coming. That said, Broncos got a whoopin, but they accomplished great things, just not the SB! Seahawks achieved what they deserved, recognition as the best team in the NFL this year.

Let's take a step back for a minute .. out of this world of trash talking.

There isn't a single person in this thread I have bad feelings about, that's the honest truth. I want to make myself extremely clear in saying that in this thread I trash talk hard, and I root for the Seahawks hard. I have since I found this thread last year. I have felt surrounded by naysayers all year ... niners, broncos, patriots who all seem to have agreed that their team could win it .. or maybe another team but NOT the Seahawks .. no way. I've never strayed.

I defend my team, I talk shit about yours.

If some people in here can't do that, I strongly suggest you take a step back and think about further participation in here.

I want to make it clear, I have ZERO animosity towards anyone in this thread. Half the time I post I'm laughing, the majority of the time I read someones comments about the Seahawks .. I'm laughing.

If you take this so serious you get angry .. step away man. It's not worth the stress and blood pressure. I got irritated once when race inadvertently came into play. That's it.

    Congrats!

    Agreed.

Glad I didn't watch any of that debacle. Sounds like it was a terrible game from the reads.

Enjoy it. Funny thing about when your team(s) win, I find, is that after the excitement wears off (about ten minutes later), you stand there saying.... Now what. This really has no affect on my life. Lol. Still fun tho!!

Really looking at it it's hard to rank the top 10. I would have in no particular order Elway, Brady, Manning, Montana, Favre, Unitas, Staubach, Bradshaw, Marino, and Young in the top 10. Tough to rank those guys, especially the older ones I don't know as much about. But Manning would definitely be higher than Bradshaw. You seem to equate being on a super bowl winning team to greatness, I think it's been plenty covered here that many not so great quarterbacks have won the super bowl.

And personal opinion on the game. Seahawks played at the top of their game, Broncos played one of, if not the worst game of their season. Not saying the outcome would have been different, but as a football fan that was an awful game to watch. I want to watch two teams playing at their best, not one team making a comedy of errors (forced or not).

Well said. X2 on everything. And being a Steelers fan also agree Manning better than Bradshaw. Bradshaw had a great team surrounding him at the time to get those wins.

I never saw Terry Bradshaw close his eyes while throwing an interception in a SuperBowl !!!

Bradshaw was a tough man and played football when QBs where getting pummeled without protection from NFL rules

    four Super Bowl titles in a six-year period (1975, 1976, 1979, and 1980)

Manning should retire and take the money and run... While he can still walk

Manning made $17.5 million this season - choked in this SuperBowl
but had the best offense in the NFL until last night

FYI... I'm not a Steelers fan

As a Steelers fan, Bradshaw was a great QB but he had HOF talent all around him.. Everywhere

^ this. He had the team. Which is what made the Steelers a GREAT team then. Not to many teams can say they had a run like that.

And agreed some of the rules are stupid. But the game had to change from those days. With medical advancement and more understanding of what happens to the body. Players need some protection. We can all agree playing in the NFL is like winning the lottery. But these guys have families they are trying to support just like the rest of us. They don't deserve to turn into vegetables later in life.

If Brady gets one more ring before he packs it in, he'll be top 5, and if he gets 2, top 3.

Someone's butthurt... This comment is like someone who is three years old with an older brother says... "If I can't have gum, he can't either!"

Nice to see you say this... And NE didn't even have half the offense Denver did.

Agreed! It was a great season for you guys, congrats!
