Why does Flea need to play bass when there's usually that guy hiding behind the curtain doing it for him.

Picture is too distorted to tell if it's wireless or unplugged anyways.

You saying someone else has been slapping the bass for him for over two decades?

Well I don't mean him specifically. Usually when I see televised concerts, there's always that guy behind the stage barely out of view playing guitar or bass along with the band.

Some other bands I would agree, but the Chili peppers is not one of them.

Yeah, am more prone to this response. Not that, for the sake of a 15 minute stage setup, they wouldn do it. But it's flea, the first person to actually SLAP DA BASS in main stream music.

Looks pretty plugged in to me:

Doesn't mean it wasn't pre-recorded though. I would think it would be at an event like the Super Bowl.

Welp, problem solved. I will say this though, if I was asked to do a Bruno Mars concert I would have no qualms about attending. Dude, and the band, put on a hell of a performance.

Possible. But I think that's one of the reasons they picked Bruno Mars. They wanted it live. Singing at least seemed live. Although at one point in the beginning when he was drumming, his drumming didn't look like it matched up for a second. It could of just been a weird camera angle too.
Agreed. Guy does put on a good show. He's been on Saturday Night Live in the past and seems to be always entertaining.

Drumming performance looked legit to me

I'm not saying it wasn't. Just at one point it looked off to what I was hearing. Like I said, could of just been weird angle.

Or the mandatory nip slip delay. Audio/Video may have been unsynced for a bit.

He's coming here to Little Rock, and after last night, I am absolutely going to watch it. Very entertaining show, and he's a very talented musician.

did anyone else notice the odd similarity between Bruno Mars and a young, pre-crazy, Michael Jackson (think Thriller Album or before).....it found it uncanny (voice, mannerisms, attire)

He reminds me of 60's-70's era Detroit stuff. Of course infused with modern pop.

I was thinking Michael Jackson, meets James Brown moves, meets Animal house, meets 60-70's jam band talent. I mean the song has always been catchy to me, I'll admit that I didn change the channel when it came on, but after the performance and seeing that he wasn auto tuned, with an actual big band, I am now sold.

Good point. I'm not doubting he can play. You could obviously tell he can play.
agreed. Always thought that about him. Kind of why I like some of his stuff. Throw back type shit.

    Also agreed.

Maybe they were wearing shorts/swim trunks?

And the pic was probably done as a family gag to follow up on the baby pic?
