I have good job opportunities in VA and have people that i could stay with temporarily, and i have the means and funding to get there.

I read through the thread real quick, so maybe I missed it. But why is it that you're having to foot the bill for your sisters mistake?

I told/showed her how you can limit the trans to a selected gear range to stay in the power band longer (say you stick the shifter in 3rd while merging onto the freeway, you stay in the power band, giving you faster acceleration)

 

It just doesn't make sense to me. You having to give somebody your hard earned money because they don't know how to drive. And bought a used vehicle that happened to have a bad trans.

Yeah, I could honestly say that if my parents said that I had to pay for repairs to my sister's car I would tell them good luck taking my money from me.
