Are the middle consoles in the Automatic SR5 5 lugs the same middle console that's in the 6 lug automatic's?

They look the same, waned to check and ask however.

^ Thanks homie. Did you find out they were different the hard way?

So if in the future I was to call LKQ, I would need to have them find me a console from an A/T SR5 5 lug truck??

I hate to kind of beat the topic up or ask the same question twice, but from the looks of it, a console is surprisingly expensive, so I'd like make sure I was ordering the correct thing before I ordered it.

Any 5 luggers have the blank for the power side mirror switch spot laying around? Maybe you installed aftermarkets switches there or something, have that little piece laying around.

Tired to cut out the inside of mine to put switches in it and broke it. Still 100% usable and being used, but would like to give it another shot.

You might want to try a junk yard and look at any of the Toyotas. I believe the blank and the switch were used on a lot of different Toyota's.

There is a set of 3.73s with LSD from a 07 4x4 sport I could pick up at the moment for a really good price.

    Or

    I could grab a Powertrax No-Slip.

    Which route would be wiser?

I would have a flange issue if I picked up the 3.73s & LSD however, would I not?

It will go in, shit if you can get the whole third you will be better off. Here's a link to the axle types. Have already put the Hino in mine out of an 07 6lug. You might need shims if you are not swapping the third. 3.73's will be the better option for up to 32's. I would go 4.10's for 33's or higher but, that's just me.

Thanks for the input. Much to consider. Not ever to sure I'd go any bigger than 31's. Also been looking at the powertrax noslip as another option.

I've got something acting up in my suspension -- Basically whenever I hit a speed bump or pothole going anything faster than 20 mph, what sounds to be my front drivers side sounds like its maxing out the suspension as if it's hitting a bump stop or something.... new shocks/struts were put on about 11 months ago... any ideas? Could it just be the creak of an older truck?

I'd stay with the 3.73's then. When I was on 32's the 3.73's would have been perfect. As for the hino LSD itself, it hooks up rather fast in the regular cab. You can go powertrax if you want but if money is an issue I spent 80 bucks on my hino and 80 bucks on the bearings.

I thought I read something about needing a different flange, is that correct?

I don't think there would be a flange issue. The third I put in mine was built for a Sequoia which is why it had flange mating issues with the driveshaft. Pretty sure the tacoma flanges all have the same bolt pattern.

Incorrect same flange for non E-LOCKED rears, like I said, same bolt pattern on the ring gear, same bearing size on the dif, same spline dia and count. With that being said if you can find a complete third from a pre 09 non E-LOCK with the Hino LSD in it, that would be your easiest option as you wont have to worry about shims.
He wasn as helpful as I had hoped when I was searching for info on the 5lug axles to see if the swap was gonna work. I was flying blind and crossing my fingers till I found the below link.

Here is the link again, click rear 95.5 and up, will give you all the info you need.
