Looking for any and all options to level the front of my 08 Double Cab. I have already installed the ome kit to include the dakar leaf pack. The truck has too much rake for my liking. I would rather not disassemble the coil strut but if I have to I will. Thanks in advance!!

    OME trim packer? I believe they have a 5mm &/or 10mm

Or you could use a top plate spacer

Would I have to remove the strut coil assembly to install a trim packer? As far as the sizes does 10mm really mean 20mm of lift? From what I understand it doubles or is that just for spacers?

I like the way the back sits now and I really like how it rides so this makes me nervous...however it would save me a ton of cash from buying everything else necessary to level the front.

In the end I would love to be able to put 285/70/17 under the truck but from what I have been reading chopping the cab mount etc... is above my skill level. I can put in the lift but not feeling comfortable about chopping.

add a 1/4" or 1/2" top plate spacer depending on how much you want to raise the front

IIRC installing the trim packer requires you to take the coil off the strut. Aint nobody got time fo dat. Toytec sells spacers that only require you to unbolt the top of the strut from the bucket and put the spacer in. They sell 1/4" so you dont have to change the studs out for longer ones. They also sell 1/2", but you have to change for longer studs.
    oz beat me to it.

Yep , trim packer should have gone on at the initial assembly

ya do up the top plate spacers and call it good, pick the size you want, toytec has 2 sizes. i might even have some 3/4 toytec top plate spacers to sell lying around, i ended up sticking with the smaller ones.

Yeah on Independent Front Suspension (IFS) trucks like tacomas you get double the height of what you put in. So if you put in a 1/2" top plate spacer then you'd gain 1" of lift. So depending on hough much higher you need the front to be you could either use the 1/4" TPS to gain 1/2" of lift or use the 1/2" TPS to gain 1" of lift. Depending how high you sit now, I'd be weary of "too much lift" especially if your a 4WD. The 885's I would think gave you at most 2.5" lift?

I'm leaning toward the 1/2 top plate spacer to try to get an additional inch out of the lift. I think that should just about level the truck. The truck stock had a decent rake to it and now that the back is lifted a full three inches it only makes sense considering the front lifted only 2.5 at most. Thank you guys for all the feed back.

Any words of wisdom for larger tires? I'm running 265/75/16

I really want to do it!! Right now I'm just running stock 16'' painted wheels with kelly safari TSR's. However I'm buying LR UCA's soon to be able to level the front. I have 1.25'' wheel spacers on the truck now. I like the XD Revolvers which is what I'm leaning toward until someone talks me out of it ha. Yes I want to run the 285's.

Out of fear of the obvious trolling I set myself up for...I know the LR UCA's dont lift or level the truck.

    Too few to list.
If you go and put the top plate spacers on your 885, you're gonna need aftermarket UCA's for your alignment.

As far as 285/70/17. Those are the tires I'm running with the 885 coils. No rub on highway (with LR UCA's) but it will rub the cab mounts a little on full flex. If you have the tools, trimming the cab mounts is easy. It's the welding part that's not so easy.
