woo, I ordered a winch too  I refuse to put on the new bumper and not have a winch in it cuz taking it off later to add one would just be extra sucky work. I may see if I can get my local welder guy to fab me something like a pull pal since there aren't always trees around here...

Yea, i'm sure you and your dad could come up with something probably better haha. Maybe I can come up one weekend this summer and we can bash some out!

I just couldn't bring myself to let warn bend me over with their pricing... I really liked the zeon though! I ended up with the x20 10k from smitty. had some Amazon cards so it worked out well and mike said he likes his x20. I thought about the badlands from harbor freight too since their 12k is 299 every once and a while and came highly recommended from NWItaco who installed like 6 of them for guys who run car haulers and run them like 5 times a day every day with no failurs...

Nice! I didn't know that the badlands was rated that well. Not sure how they compare weight wise, but I think I want synthetic line since I will have to pack mine around everytime I want to use it. haha

yea i think all we need it to mod a boat anchor really...haha we have chatted about it before. Sure something could happen..

Don't even bother with cable..ever. Its stupid and pointless. Just get snyth line. Don't even second guess it, so worth it.

the only worry i have with synth line is degredation over time. Sun and ect. Idk we'll see, but i'm stoked on the synth since it saves so much weight.

Mine will be stored in my toolbox so sun shouldn't be an issue at least and it should stay pretty dry in there.

Only thing i have ever noticed is get the line that goes around the drum wrapped. The whole drum. And maybe more.

Then of course have another wrap on the end for rocks ect.

Heat is the only bad thing about it i have noticed.

How hard is it to install a blue sea fuse box? I am going to start adding lights to my truck and am looking at installing one.

So all i would need is the thicker power cable and grounding cables and a big crimper for the ends?

Learn to Solder and get an iron. Be MUCH better then crimps.

they are only rated for 100amps so 4 ga wire will be plenty for the power wire and ground. Even 8 ga if your not planning on a lot of stuff.

Then just run 12/14 ga or 16 ga depending on the lights off the block from the fuse you setup.

You'll need to put your relays some where else.

I was thinking about getting one of the pre made mounting plates that a couple of the members here sell to mount it to. I don't have any major power requirements planned for quite some time. Just a couple pairs of led pods for the time being
