Dang it, I NEED a set of coil buckets cut off at the frame! Wouldn't have thought it mattered when we tossed ours a year and a half ago or whatever.

I don't think his would've worked though. We need the portion with that tube in it I think. Basically we need some that are still almost 100% in tact and then I'll cut them down to what we need from there.

Basically, that tube that's shown there is what we need for our case but I'm not sure how to weasel that thing into place. Will see once I get one in my hands though what it's going to take.

For what we need it for, I bet I could slap a ford/chevy/nissan/acura coil bucket in place... (and I'm only partially kidding...) Semantics is more fitting for this need then you even know!!!

I don't know where the tacoma's go to around here. I've never seen one in the local junkyards. It's all pre-tacoma pickups.

And nope, aftermarket won't work. Has to be a factory stamped bucket. We're putting in literally for cosmetic reasons... And I'm not joking!

have you tried checking some of the boards that are more 4x4 specific? when I needed an upper arm a few years ago one of my buddies gave me his with the coil buckets still attached to it....He cut them off for his SAS and didnt bother to unbolt the arms

Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciate it! We're about 6 weeks out and it while it doesn't really "guarantee" us being 7100 legal, it will give us a much stronger case and since I'm spending a lot of money and coming a long way to do it, I'd like to do everything in our power to make this work.

PS, 20+ leaf sprung trucks racing at BAP, should be a great show!

Well you might be able to get some from me. Me and my stepdad are driving up north to pick up a new frame for his salvaged tacoma. It will either be this Saturday or next Saturday. But it's a 99 4x4 so they should work. Your welcome to cut em off if you want or we can torch off the section of the frame you need so you can cut em out.
