The TRD S/C tunes run stupid rich. Stand on the rev limiter for a bit and then let off and you get a fireball out the exhaust. Haha.

the trd tune for the 05+ tacomas won't always be rich, as it seems to vary truck to truck

I didn't know that. I do know that throwing on a smaller pulley helps lean it out a lot as well as just adding a tuner and just leaning it out with that.

it's not that rich. It blows flame out the pipe because when it bounces off the limiter while hitting boost the computer kills spark and that lets raw air fuel mixture go down the exhaust pipe and when you let off it retards the timing enough to lite that mixture.

Production stamps I would assume. Helps determine when/where axle was made. I would assume the arrow pointing towards 1 dot means first shift, the others may tell day/run/plant etc.

    ALRIGHTY!

So this offer came to me today - and i'm just thinking about it. Even thought i'm in the process of getting ready for as SAS on my current rig, i would/will go a different route than this guy did.
    The Trade:
2002 Tacoma Double cab, 93,000 miles on the clock.

    Exterior 8/10 and interior 9/10.
    Clean title!
Sas with sky off-road full width kit (the 10" kit)
Dana 44 hi pinion 1/2" thick axle walls
    Dana 60 rear
    4.88 gears f/r
    no lockers
    39.5" truxs swamper 2 30% and 2 %50
New hi steer knuckles arms arp studs
    New steering box
    Frame plated

Again this would be a straight across trade...I may keep a couple things lol The only thing the truck has that benefits me is an SAS and low miles. But i've got about 6k of add-ons to my truck. And mine is in amazing condition. So far, i'm thinking i should just keep my rig. That way i can do the work myself, know how it was built and build it my way. Plus keep all of the last two year additions.

Personally, I'm a fan of just building on what you got. And like you say, you're gonna change most of what he did anyway. Miles doesn't really mean shit with our trucks and even less so when you SAS/SAC

Lol nope, just a guy i met who is selling his rig and possibly looking for trade. We got to talking and he liked my rig alot (for a DD).

I have not seen the truck in person, so i do not know how the fabrication looks, or how the truck drives/runs etc...

This is all assuming it drives and runs up to/better than my expectations.
