I've been meaning to start my own build thread for awhile now, looks like a cool way to document how it will change over time!

Her name is Jessica and I think my girlfriend is jealous of her.

    Details:
    Name - Jessica
    Year/Model - 2008 DCSB TRD Sport 4x4
    Engine/Tranny - 4.0 L V6 Automatic

    Interior:
    FLYZEYE interior LED lights
    Pioneer AVH-4100NEX receiver
    Alpine PDX-V9 5 channel amp
    Alpine Type-R speakers (SPR-69, SPR-60, SPR-10TW)
    2 - JL 10W1v3 subwoofers
Husky X-Act Contour Floor Liners (front)
    Exterior:
    Plasti-dipped badges
    DEPO black bezel headlights
    Plasti-dipped hood scoop insert
PIAA Xtreme White headlight and fog bulbs
    IPCW Bermuda Black LED taillights
    Ultra Phantom 17" wheels
Window tint (25% front and 35% rear)
Mobtown Offroad reinforced tailgate skin & cap
    RuggedT custom bedside decals

    Performance:
    Hankook Dynapro ATM P265/70/17
    TRD Catback Exhaust
aFE Magnum FORCE Stage 2 CAI (w/ TRD cover plate)

    Some day:
    Step bars or sliders
    Suspension/Lift (probably Fox)
    LED light bar

Here is the first day I brought Jessica home. A great day indeed.

First thing I had to do was plasti-dip the badges. I do like chrome, but it just didn't stand out enough on the silver truck.
This was about the time I was praying this stuff would come off of the paint like it was supposed to.
    20130718_230218_zpsbe31472b_d008527f05b76aa630049c42aeb044a8c9e73723.jpg

    Fortunately, it did.

Next, I added the Air Force Falcons license plate frame. Huge Air Force fan, so it only made sense.

Since, I changed my badges from chrome to black, I figured I should do the same to the headlights. I wasn't brave enough to do the BHLM, so I bought the DEPO black bezel headlights.

And a little farther back angle...

Thanks to TW, I stole the idea of plasti-dipping my hood scoop insert. This turns out to be one of my favorite appearance mods. I love how it really sets off the hood scoop.

    And again...

I couldn't handle the yellowish standard headlights, so I replaced them with PIAA Xtreme White H4 bulbs. I liked them so much I swapped out the fog lights with matching PIAA Xtreme White H10 bulbs.

Next, I had my eyes on the FLYZEYE interior dash lights. I couldn't pass up on their black friday deal. I opted for blue halos, with blue and green LEDs.

Once snow hit the ground, I realized how much I hated the tires that came on it. After a little research and talking with some buddies, I decided to get some new Hankook Dynapro ATM. P265/70/17.

I finally got around to snapping a pic of the TRD catback exhaust. Love the sound. Not too loud, yet still lets you know it's there.

I love the look of the sport hood! I think it looks great on our SSM... adds a little depth to the hood? I wasn't sure if I would like the hood scoop insert painted black, so I plasti dipped it to be safe. That is usually one of the first compliments I get, so I guess it was a good idea?! :)

plasti dip is nice, you get the looks of it being painted with the benefits of being able to remove it without any problems. Im actually about to go out and derp my roof* and fuel door black

EDIT: woops, I meant roof and fuel door lol, not my room

Now that has me curious! I'll have to check your build to set how it turns out.

I have failed at keeping this build up to date, so here is an update.

To add a little personal touch (and add a bunch of HP) I threw on a couple stickers. Buck Commander on the left since I enjoy hunting and to support the duck men! Yamaha on the right because my other ride is a Yamaha!

    20140708_200922_zpstss8mzsj_3b44cd5bec1ca9520c60e5a6e87eff5b797ec7cd.jpg

Added the aFe Stage 2 CAI. It was relatively easy to install and I am very happy with the resulting sound. Butt dyno says it improved power a little, but that's far from scientific. Biggest complaint.... I stomp on the fun pedal more often now, maybe thats not a huge complaint. :burnrubber: I was able to pick up the cover used off of TW.

    20140708_200754_zpsoyqnmflh_e46621e44d5afcf17fd83343273c61d92af5b855.jpg

I wanted to get rid of some of the red on the back end. I debated between smoking my OEM tails or buying a new set. I found these IPCW Bermuda Black taillights and decided to give them a shot. I got more of the black-out look I'm going for while also getting LEDs! :woot: And holy stare at the sun batman, these things are bright!!!

Now for the most recent change. Continuing with the black and silver theme, I found some new wheels. I don't know how many wheels I looked at trying to find the right ones. Ironically, these Ultra Phantoms were one of the first set of wheels I saw.

I plan on tinting the windows soon, so I'm sure there will be some picture updates when that happens. This is how she sits today.

Quick update after tinting the windows. I went with 25% front and 35% rear. Very happy with how dark it looks from the outside without sacrificing visibility from the inside.

A bit overdue, but an update nonetheless.

After sitting on my tailgate and listening to it creak, I ordered Mobtown Offroads reinforcement skin and cap. It really made a difference in strength and it looks better than the plastic!

I also recently had ruggedT design some custom bedside decals. Really happy with how they turned out!
