My 2013 DCLB came with 4 leaf pack...when I added my lift I had another leaf added for height thing, knowing sooner or later I will replace rear leaf springs all together! They have a very soft rear end!!!

I have all of these same issues. My 2013 DCSB 4x4 V6 shakes like crazy from 55-75mph. When I'm on the interstate, my passenger seat shakes bad. You could make homemade butter in that seat. I've took it to the dealer and they checked over everything, even gave me a new set of tires and re balanced, didn't fix a thing. I'm just going to leave it alone and get by for another year or two and get rid of it. I should have looked in the full size market, more capabilities with more fuel mileage=no brainer. Live and learn I suppose

The DC's don't have a lot of payload, but at least Toyota should have provided a set of springs that are adequate. If you don't like the ride, then don't buy a truck.

What’s adequate to you will not be inadequate to another. We all think differently, have different needs and expectations. This is a no win situation for Toyota, it is what it is.

Sure they could have designed different packs for different platforms, but in the end they are still chasing their tails because Timmy's opinion is different from Johnny's. Also having different packs would increase production cost, which I'm sure this was considered among many other things.

Haha I just wanted to get all you Kool-aid drinkers fired up. Yes I did test drive it, but not at 75mph where it shakes the worst. I actually like my truck, just really miss my cummins. But paying 30k for a brand new truck and to have it shake like this isn't good, wish toyota would at least address that they have a issue

I didn't comment that the payload was too little, just that Toyota should supply rear springs to handle the 1050 lbs of payload that my truck has. But really, our trucks have less payload than most mini vans.

They do suck , the truck should be able to carry a 300 lb tool box without losing 1 1/2" of height in 5 months , I mean it's supposedly a truck right ?

Did people really buy a truck with the expectation of never being able to utilize the bed for more than hauling cardboard to the recycling depot ?

    Oh , and FU

ah oh my the butthurt...lolol i couldn't help it, you posted that basic type statement more than once in this thread. and how many others.. :broccoli:

but in all seriousness i agree, the stock leaf springs do not live up to truck requirements. i snapped one within a yr of owning my taco, never had anything more than camping gear in the bed.

Timbren bumpstop will not change the ride and help a lot.

Allpro standard or expo are not very expensive and good product (375$) but give a lift of 2.5 to 3 inch.

For myself, i dont like to have a harsh ride and a bumpy back on gravel road so i have a set of custom deaver progressive leafpack (10) for a lift of 2-2.5 inch and a set of timbren bumpstop. Perfect ride but more expensive.

I just put on general springs HD pack. fixed the problem and only made it 1.5in taller (i think it will settle after a few months)

and yes, it is retarded to pay more for this truck than any other mid size or even some full size trucks, and get worhtless saggy ass suspension...
