Is it supposed to help because it doesn't run off your engine? Is it real improvement or is it like buying a CAI?

some say it frees up some power from the engine as it will no longer need to turn the fan...just have to remember to turn it off if you go through water..

do research before buying...may not be for everybody

I have 2 things up for sale off my 2010 Toyota Tacoma.

2 inch Spacer lift with my stock bilstein stocks attached to it. The shocks have about 40k miles on them and the spacer was on for 20k of them. I'll also throw in a 2 inch block to raise the back. I'm asking 80 obo for this.

Next I have my TRD floor mats for a double cab with the retaining hooks. Asking 30 obo.

If you have any questions call or text me at 956 266-4405.

    I'm located in centennial.

Anyone have a stock TRD skidplate they're looking to sell within 60 miles of Denver?

Stock skid plate > no skid plate

Nothing up there looks odd & I did the same thing. Maybe some day I'll spend 3x more for a real skid plate but for my current needs this looks much better and hides all the rusty crusty looking skid plates you see from the front of the truck otherwise. All the cool kids have stock skid plates.

to many to list, check the build thread
I agree with OST on this, and no skid plate lets a ton of crap fling up into the engine bay, thats basically what the stock one is in place for. Its a splash guard but a lot of people dont need a skid plate that they can bash on rocks for the higher cost.

I think people confuse the "stock" skid plates and the TRD accessory skid plate. To me, "stock" suggests that it came on the vehicle at no extra charge. There are two, very thin, splash guards that come on the trucks "stock". Then there is the aluminum TRD "skid plate" that is offered from toyota as an accessory.

Looks like something's missing, keep the engine bay a bit cleaner, and it's not too pricey when buying used.

I have the dirt bike for trails so I just wanted something to fill the hole.

Making the statement 'they suck' doesn't seem like you're wondering much. Kinda seems like you already have your mind made up. ;)

I do have my mind made up, but it's an opinion. Guess I should have put more words and punctuation in there so it would have been clearer. Can't get everything across the way you want it by typing alone.
I got rid of my stock skid plate months ago for a 4xinovations 1/4" skid.
