But I did ask the question of why he wanted it, then put in how I feel about them. So it came out how it should have.

The only regret about the one I got is I didn't get the one with the extra space for a diff drop. I guess I will either have to get a new one at some point or make some kind of spacer.

Not remorse, I just didn't think ahead. Seems to happen to me alot lately. Chemo brain sucks.
What would I be jealous about? I have a bullet proof skid plate. 1/4" stell man and at the angle it's on you can't get a head on shot so it would deflect any shots down. I just hope it never needs to be used that way.

diff drops on 2nd gens are totally worthless anyways. Practically worthless on 1st gens too.

Uhh... washer stacked allow for some movement. Better idea would be to determine the amount you think you might need to lower it and get some pipe cut that thickness so you have a solid spacer with the longer bolts. If someone can tack them to the skid plate with a welder... even better. But as stated IMO I have not seen a diff drop really work at all.

    I've put them on.

didn't hardly move my CV axles

and didn't on my dads at all.

Its a "hot" topic on this site, but the general consensus last i checked was there are totally useless on 2nd gens. Don't do shit.

I have 3.5" of lift in front by tape measure and not running a diff drop.

    Practically straight CVs too

Doesn't Toyota say not to go over 2 1/2" lift in the front with out a diff drop due to the angles? That it will really hurt your CVs when off road?
At some point I'm going to put on icon extended coilovers set at 3.25"s. So I guess I will run no diff drop till I break a CV then I will put one on. That's the only thing I can think of doing.

Shooting from a moving truck is the last thing I want to be doing. Works well in the movies but in RL if I'm in a vehicle in motion I'd rather focus on getting the fuck away in not a straight line. That's just me.

You know after my experiences with Toytec your 3.5"s is topped out on those Billy's. And I am going to say prove it on the straight CV's with that much lift. No pics... I am not believing. :D
