^^^ This... If a Taiwanese made carbon frame costs roughly 3k, then I don't even want to know what an American made carbon frame would cost.. But be sure that it would be out of reach for most mtb enthusiasts... And you're right, those enve wheels are nice, but damn they are WAY too proud of them...

For us desert dwellers, carbon wheels aren;y even an option, way too many rocks out here.

Did you know Enve wheels are made to order too?! They only produce what they sell, its a tiny company so they cant afford to have a massive stock of wheels too. It can take over a month to get wheels if your local bike shop doesnt have a set in stock. Pretty baller  way out of my price range. But you definitely get what you pay for with bikes.

Oh trust me I know. I called to inquire about a seat post last year... They said "yeah those are about 4 months away from the next batch" I'm like uhhhhh WAT. Lol.

I was lucky enough to score on some 'less than 3 rides' 2012 Enve AM 26 hoops for about 60% off msrp. Needless to say, aside from the redonkulous pricing, these Enve wheels on my Nomad are all that and a bag of chips----for the price I paid. Brand new? I couldn't justify it.

    I remember your Nomad dude!

I've decided a Bronson C will be the next build in my stable. Jordan won't NOT let me get one haha. "Dude, get a Bronson" everytime we talk about bikes.

I'll be on the lookout for some used 27.5 Enve AM hoops---like a needle in the haystack haha.

You must be excited to get your Bronson man!

Im lucky enough to have Pivot in my back yard and ride with several of their employees so I get to demo a lot of their stuff.. Definitely building some sick bikes these days. If I didn't get an sb66c it would have been a mach 6 or bronson

I have the current ones there pretty light and i love the hubs but the scandium hoops are odd, they dent cerry easily but they dont bend! My rear wheel has 6 dents and is strait as an arrow! The new wheels donr have as big a hub, and a normal sized aluminum rim but theres some sneaky stuff on them just wait!

Enve lifetime warranty bruh = 50% off msrp. Definitely not $1000 mistakr. Enve even was cool enough to let me transfer my name onto my hoops from the previous owner since they were so new. If I'm going big enough to crack an ENVE hoop, that means my riding needs to be fixed.

And to be honest... I've never been a fan of ANY e13 products outside of their pedals. Their wheels are nice, but once you ride on an Enve hoop you're probably a loyal customer for life.

I have buddies that race for enve and they have blown there fair share of hoops up, and even with the warrenty the problem is the wait time, not everyone has a backup hoop at the ready...especialy one that expensive, iv always liked the look but never been a huge fan cuz the price and there not as light as id hope for the money

Still isn't enough to sway me into an E13 wheel set sorry bro.

The likelihood of me blowing an Enve hoop is slim to none...I don't thrash. Remember I owned a V10c with the OG Enves (before the am/xc/dh models were out) and I had ZERO issues with those.

Like I said, not a big E13 guy man...just how Ive felt. For chain guides and bash guards I'm partial to MRP, wheels Enve (if the price is right), bars Easton.

Oh and big difference between me and your buddies affiliated with Enve: I don't race. ;)

Ill give u that for a weekend warrior build they are pretty solid choice if you can spend the coin and definitly give u the bling factor ;) lol but theres alot of other wheels that will hold up just as well. If they were that much lighter i could wrap my head around it more, but there not super light at all. i could buy a light bicyles carbon hoop for $160 bucks with a 1 year warrenty and there fully customizable from graphics up to the number of layers of carbon u want on em not to mention there 85g lighter per hoop then envys, my wheelset is definitly heavier than an enve but saving 150g on a wheelsets not worth 1000 bucks for me when i can make that up with tires no problem. i dont know the thing that realy draws me from enve is the price, at what they cost and not having a wheel sponsor where u need backup hoops i couldnt afford it with my e13 ones i can afford to have plenty of backups hahaha

    zaqu3e5u_906b5624e5d19b47d37b13dad902b154358aefc9.jpg

E13 is by far one if my fav companies and there based right here out of SLO iv bent 2 sets of saint cranks (praying i dont bend these ones matt :( hahaha) and my last two bike had e13 xc/am cranks that held up like a boss! Chain guides are on point and there flat pedals scare me...but nothing against ENVE just their pricing kills me, there wheelsets almost the price of a frame brand new, im still jelous everytime i see someone with a set thoe cuz there sexy as fuck....

Wouldnt recomend running there 28 spoke trail wheels on a dh bike tho i payed the price for being a weight weenie on that once loljy5aveva_33e578f8a7b258268227561fac407bf4c30f80fd.jpg

that ended up leading to this crash….
