Nor have I sucked mud into the air box like I did before owning one.

Companies like ARB and Safari made them for locations like Australia where dust was a huge issue and they were going through air filters like crazy. These helped reduce the dust intake greatly and provided cleaner air overall.

It's a common misconception that they are made to ford water. While they do help that greatly, that wasn't their purpose.

Just an fyi....

When I submerge my truck above the snorkle it coverts water to air. Its like a rebreather but not... also when this happens the truck transforms with rudder and props.

The best thing I find about going this deep is if you have something on the floor it floats up to you. No need to take your eyes off the sea.

 

Yet somebody still asked me, so it was still good info to post!
