Lol you're right I did. Long story, but basically I'm from Colorado and even though I'm stationed here I wanted Colorado plates so I figured out how to get them.

 

I kept my CO plates too. I like them the best from all the ones ive seen.

 

I've been back in CA for 1-1/2 years and still have my AZ plates on my car.

 

I'm super pissed off right now. I had a set of Duratracs and 2nd gen TRD rims for sale a couple of weeks ago. Well a guy offered me $100 less than my asking price, but said I could keep the wheels and sensors. I figured I might as well since those two items can get me about $200 after getting them back. I waited for his call and now saw this ad on craigslist. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/pts/4318925232.html He is trying to sell them out from under me and won't return my call or email. Just pisses me off because I had other buyers at full price, but he called first and I was cool with the deal.

So please don't buy these if you saw them and flag the ad if you don't mind. It just sucks when I try to be trusting and nice to someone, but they throw it in my face. This is why I hate selling/buying on craigslist these days.

Yeah I was a little nervous, but he was a middle aged guy and didn't give me the sketchy vibe at all. I'm a trusting person by nature and look where that got me.

So the story gets worse. He wasn't responding to my calls, so I decided to use my work phone since it's a 408 number. He answers right away and I confronted him. I probably should have acted like I was interested in them, but I wasn't expecting him to answer. He says he's sorry and that he sold the entire wheel and tire set already, which I call bullshit. He said he lost money on the whole thing and I responded that he has them on craigslist right now. He immediately hung up on me.

So 5 minutes later he calls me back and says that he is on welfare and a fixed income, blah blah blah and needed the money. He says he's sorry and that he wishes he could do something about it. I told him he could give me my money and he says he doesn't have it. I basically rip into him and point out how he is being a giant douche and that I don't have a lot of money either. He continues to deny that the rims for sale are his and says he'll try to get me some money when the 2nd wednesday comes up because that is when his checks come in.

I'm beyond pissed right now for the shear disrespect, especially when he called me back. I'm in the fault for letting the rims out of my sight, which I will never do again. He's definitely going to get some major karma his way and possibly some m2m craigslist action as well...

 

I recently learned this lesson too although fortunately, I eventually got paid. It wasn't a CL person but a consignment dealer. He is now serving 6 months in Santa Rita...in part for trying to fuck me and in part for the other 5 people he did fuck over. I only wish he had been sentenced to state prison.

When I've sold stuff privately, I've been less trusting. I use a consignment dealer who comes highly recommended and I almost got fucked. I will never consignment sell anything again.
