Yeah, I'm feeling some kitty litter than some purple power right now. Seems like best bang for my buck.

Now I need to find somewhere to use a water hose. I live on campus so there's nowhere to do it :/

Citrol. Use it at work, best product ever. Citrol then pressure wash.

Actually I used it this weekend to clean out an axle housing full of crap. Brake clean wasnt cutting it. Citrol and then hosed it with brake clean and it washed right away.

Used it at work last week to clean a pile of grease off the cement floor of our bulk oil storage room. Boss was like damn its clean enough to eat off.

Forgive me for commenting, but cat litter is for cat shit! It works terrible for cleaning up large oil spills!

If you want to try something that works awsome, try pulverized peat moss. I'm not kidding here. This stuff will suck up spilled oil like nothing else. AutoZone sells this 1 gallon bag for about 12 bucks, and it does work great, but the cheaper version is to buy a "cube" of the same stuff from Tractor Supply. Be warned, that $9 bag will last you your lifetime. In fact you could split it with 3 of your buddies and it would last your lifetime.

One thing nice about it, is it only will suck up petrolium liquids. If you have oil and antifreeze mixed on the floor, it will only absorb the oil.

Try it, you will be amazed.

you are forgiven haha, well i had an oil filter seal on my vw blow and it dumped almost a full tank of oil on the driveway and the kitty litter soaked it up good enough that there was no stain left, thats the biggest spill ive ever used it on though. i'll have to try that peat moss stuff sometime though it sounds good!

I would if I had a place to keep my stuff. I'm just looking for something to use and get rid off considering I live in a dorm and my toolbox is full.

    I hear ya.

I have equipment that uses gallons of oil, and are known to blow a line on regular basis. When this equipment coats itself with oil, there is no good way to clean every nook and cranny.

My solution is to toss the peat moss absorbant at the oil coating. I come thru the next day and hit it with compressed air. The equipment is oil free and I just sweep up the peat moss and toss.

Well, the quickest would be to just toss the bed liner. I'm from the "I hate these things" school. That plastic liner was the first thing to go. You might call it an anti-mod:)

I spilled gear oil in mine awhile back. About an hour with simple green, a hose and brush. Got most of it off but it still stunk for a week or two.

Maybe get a bottle of ajax and scrub it in thick when I used simple green it didn't seem to work really good and I used the whole bottle. Ajax is sold at dollar tree too.

Elbow grease? Might just drive around for 145 years and let Mother nature clean her out.

I used some gunk brand engine degreaser gel on the motor in my chevy the other day it got the oil that leaked out off of it.

Gear oil is a different story though, so I don't know how it would work with that.

^ this. I spilled a shit load of paint thinner in my bed and threw down a bag of cat litter , let it sit overnight and then swept it out followed by an $11 wash at the local car wash and problem solved!

I spilled some engine oil (thank GOD it wasn't diff oil though, I would have burned the truck from the smell) in my bed with a liner once. Didn't feel like cleaning it up. I noticed it was gone a couple weeks later. SCORE!
