May have been mentioned. The old credit card rollers. I was actually out of town a few months ago working with one of the younger guys and the cashier pulled one out because the computers were down. I made him watch the practice and he couldnt believe it. lol

I'm only 19 and I could remember about 10 years ago to now and omg.. It's scary.. I couldn't imagine in another 10 years.. If this world is here. My girlfriend's little sister is in middle school and those kids are a million times worse than what we were when I was in middle school. Heck, not long ago I heard about an ELEMENTARY school kid bringing drugs to school! I give up on people :anonymous: I'm so blessed to be grown up correctly and with a good family that taught me right from wrong. This world is just scary anymore..

I have fun down here with this nowadays when the hurricanes come through and knock out the power / utilities for a few days/weeks.

Many people in suburbia are fucking useless, lazy, and stupid to boot. No swipey credit card and microwave dinner? ZOMG STARVATIONRIOTZOMBIEBBQ!

We went without power a *month* back in 06 after Frances and Jean. I grew up in the woods and such, so we didn't miss a beat. But holy god was the neighborhood I lived in a ZOO.

The only other folks that didn't give a shit and kept right on truckin' were the central american illegals, this was like a trip home for them. (We lived in a BAAAD neighborhood)

Kids had drugs in my 6th grade class, that hasn't really changed much in the past 10 years.

Well for my town, it hasn't happened before. You live in Columbus. lol. But still, kids these days are just messed up beyond repair.

Anyway.. Anyone remember those toys that you balance on your finger? Like the bird. But my grandpa had this little dude that stands on your finger and has a wire with a walnut on the end to keep it balanced.

I doubt that, I discovered drugs in 5th grade. I wasn't a bad kid but it was there back in late 80's early 90's. I think it was more isolated towards the bad kids but not uncommon to see. It's been there forever but the media makes it seem out of control today, mainly because it's more from rich suburban teens and not just the poor and minority's.

Don't forget Charlie passed through with those two! We were without power for over a month in east central Florida. Wasn't a big deal for us. We were prepared ahead of time with extra dried food, extra water, extra gasoline...we were prepped. We would fire up the generator twice a day to watch the news and to keep track of the status of supplies and to let our neighbors know what was going on in the news. There was no cell service at all, and cable TV was down. I was surprised when I found out I was the only person in our neighborhood with satellite.

As much as I agree with a ton said in this thread I do laugh at all the baby boomers who got the world where it is today but take no responsibility for it.

I don't take much responsibility for the kids these days. When it got where you couldn't discipline your own child for fear of going to jail...THAT is where I feel in my personal opinion that things started going to hell. I remember the day my oldest daughter stood up to me one time and threatened to call CPS if I spanked her. He he he. We won't go there.
