    Battery backups are good, it's not losing data or power that I worry about it's not trusting surge protectors and smokin the puter. Lost one a few years ago when a transformer blew in weather like we have now:eek:. Surge protector, main power breaker for the whole house, microwave, tv and the puter all went poof:mad:

    then you need a whole house surge protector, it gets wired into the main line around your breaker box

    what? i didn't say anything!

    I stood up for you :)

    Ive had my Northface backpack since high-school. Granted I don't use it every day now that I'm done my edumacation, but it hasn't ripped or had a screwed up zipper and when it does it has a lifetime warranty.

    Or keep the leather one that will last you forever and never speak of it again; ignore those that do and we will stop. ;)

    I'm not sure if you know this, but the Leather one isn't going anywhere, no matter what some people on TW say. ;):cool: Outside of the Garage,i've pretty much ignored it.

    If you go looking for matching jackets, belts, and shoes to go with the backpack, all bets are off. I'm just sayin' ...

    Wallet is coincidence ... Plausible deniability.

    :frusty: We have 60% chance of less than inch accumulation tonight tomorrow ... Then this:

    ...High wind watch in effect from late Thursday night through
    Friday afternoon...

    The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a high wind
    watch...which is in effect from late Thursday night through
    Friday afternoon.

    * Location...Matanuska Valley

    * wind...northeast winds 35 to 60 mph with possible gusts to 80
    mph.

    * Timing...northeast winds will increase across the Matanuska
    Valley Thursday night reaching possible warning levels after midnight.
    Winds should peak Friday afternoon and then diminish Friday
    evening.

    * Impacts...travel may be difficult. Loose debris can be moved and
    damage property.

    Precautionary/preparedness actions...

    A high wind watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
    high wind event. People are encouraged to closely monitor this
    weather situation. Preparation for this potentially dangerous
    weather event should begin now.

    :eek: Really hope no fires happen during the high winds.

    We have had more high wind warnings this winter than I can ever remember. We have had winds in the 30's with gusts in the 50's at least once a week if not for a few days at a time. I HATE WIND!
