JeepAndrew's AZ Trail Runs/Campouts

Well it really depends on everyone on the trail. Last year we had 13 trucks, had to stop and spot everyone at quite a few obstacles, had a couple of breakdowns we had to stop and fix and we rolled into camp right around dusk, which I believe was around 7pm or so.

This time everyone on the 4wd list should be pretty well prepared, and I've wheeled with everyone on the list so I'm confident in their abilities and their rigs. I don't think most will need spotting on many of the obstacles, so hopefully we will be in camp much earlier this time. Although we will be stopping to check out some sights along the way, an old mine, and old abandoned mining town, as well as pee stops and what not.

 

And cutting of pipe. We should get there much faster I'm thinking around 3pm but who knows for sure.

 

We also got a much later start last time. 0830 as a trail start time should put us into camp much earlier than last time (no breakdowns permitting).

 

That's a bad idea. Just asking for a punctured tire for somebody down the road or worse finding out that its still a live line. We can just paint it bright pink or green or something so its easily seen in the future. Just my 2¢

 

True. I think we met at the Valero around 830 and gased up in mammoth and finally after airing down and gas ups it was just before 10 I think when we actually started

 

Its just a 3" empty pipe that sticks up like 4" all lines have been pulled out of it. We can bring same paint to and just check it and pick the best decision while we are looking at it.

 

Even if it is a dead line a sawzall can leaves a danger to tires. And a rattle can is much quicker than a sawzall. Just saying...

Forgot I work this weekend, picked up some OT. So Mike and I will be installing on Friday, come by and lend a hand if you have time or aren't working
