dude, you should have scrapped that. at least made a little $ off of it. that's what i plan to do if i can't sell it since there's one right around the corner from my brother's house. that and i have a bunch of other metal i need to get rid of.

 

What made matters worse is after I dumped it I went to pay and the douche charged me 30 fucking dollars… I was a little pissed to say the least. I just wanted the shit outta my garage. I've had it for sale for a couple of months and I've been cleaning out my garage so it had to go.

If you have a lot of spare scrap metal let me pick through it first. I want to practice up on my welding beads. I welded a bracket for my rear license plate on my bed rack the other day and was shocked that my beads looked pretty decent considering I haven't welded in over a year. I want to throw a few more beads down though...

 

Mike have you considered a short swing-out? If I build one, it's going to stop prior to the rear camera.

 

not that kind of scrap metal. i mean like old exhaust pipes, broken window frames, chrome rear bumper with factory hitch....

the spare tire is going to mount on the rack similar to colin's - if he ever answers his email.... and just because the mount ends, doesn't mean the tire does....

Yes. Short shit about a foot long. Angle iron, pipe, plate, anything really.

Keep it 1/4" and thinner. My welder tops out at 1/4", and even then it doesn't get good penetration unless I slow way the fuck down.

 

I'm probably going to buy the hardware for a swing out and make it myself. Just need to lay down a bunch of bead to get back into the groove. It's definitely not like riding a bike.
