You can, but I think it would be much lower than whit the OEM 3 leaf pack.

I do have the leafs but mine has the Toytec AAL & 5100s now. It was base model so I have the ulta buttery factory black tokicos if you'd like extra cushiony, yeah that's what they are. They aren't leaking either. About 53k of break-in on them. Yours for the shipping.

Would it help to replace the rear shocks with some that are softer?

not to many, love it the way it is
for a softer ride maybe lower the air in your tires until you can get back to the cushy springs set up. gas mileage will suffer though. the dealer had the psi set at 22 when I bought the truck, rode around for a few days before checking the pressure and adding more air.

instead of getting the tsb, ( or trying to get it done on an 09 ) I bought the $25 helper springs from autozone and mounted them backwards on the front side of my 3 leaf set up( forward of the axle ). it mostly helped with road wind and the whole truck swaying all over the road when wind gusts hit the truck, it also stiffened the ride just a tiny bit, hardly noticeable and probably not near as much as the tsb . I doubt that it helps with load capacity though since I mounted them backwards as per the instructions

Might try giving the springs some time to settle in before you commit to swapping back- put a couple hundred pounds of sand (bagged) in the bed for a month or two to speed up the process. After ~4 months my TSB springs have softened up a bit, still firm but not as stiff compared to the first few weeks after replacement. Installing softer shocks might also help.

I do prefer a firm ride so there is some bias on my part. :D

Dang man I wish that I wasn't leaving Tuesday for Virginia I would trade you in a heart beat. I am trying to firm up my ride since it seems to float all over the road now. If you haven't traded them by the middle of October let me know and I will trade you. I am in Temple/Killeen so it is not that far. If you want you could come to where I am at and we can use the Auto Shop with the lifts here on post.

Chris4x4 do you know if a 5 lugger's spring would work on his truck?? I dont see why not the only thing that I noticed that was different was the front end geometry.
