Has anyone seen Tac Con drop in triggers. Next best thing to full auto... so they say. Looks interesting but they are $500. Check out some of the you tube videos. Also its ATF compliant.

So I decided that a $60 investment in a go/no go gage was worth my life to prove that my headspacing is fine. I'm nearly sure it is, but what if I got the barrel that Drunky McBoozerton milled on a Friday afternoon? All it takes is a few thousands of an inch. Called up Manson Reamers (they get high marks on their tooling from gunsmiths) and got the 5.56 NATO gages.

I checked out Northeast Shooters, Mike. Some guys there seem great, some seem like dangerous antigovernment assholes/freestaters. I'd just as soon get 'er done myself with minimum hassle.

    Agreed.

Most people can shoot faster than they can accurately engage now. Fast isn't the issue. I always laugh at the "training" videos you see of guys shooting fast and looking good at their reloads etc but the camera angle is always so that the viewer can't see the target.

That's exactly what I've always wondered and I got a glimpse of it at a local range while a guy was running drills. It seemed like he focused on how fast and cool he looked when reloading because his aim was the equivalent to crocodile shit.

To be fair, he had on all of his "Baghdad Beige" operator gear, baclava, and low riding hat so I guess he gets points for that...

Haha, that's a fairly accurate description! I don't post much over there but there is a lot of great information on local laws, build how-to's and pretty awesome group buys.

Any of you guys run Blue Force Vickers slings? I run the VTAC but I thought I might give the Vickers sling a try. It's similar but different, and more $$, so I was curious if anyone has one & likes it.

No I haven't tried it. Like you I run the VTAC, on my 6.8. I really like that sling a lot.
