your fancy new tacoma is the best truck in the world man, you know everything for certain as we can all tell.

i have both, i can speak from my experience, that is all. other than better mileage the truck is way more comfortable and powerful. that is about all i have to offer you.

My dads 97 f150 has been a good truck.

Never let us down. Never left us stranded anywhere.

187000 miles used as a work truck always loaded down with tools.

Ha ha, wow.. toyota koolaid ?? Dude there is so much wrong with your thread I don't know where to begin... If the tacoma looked so insignificant next to the tundra, why didn't you get a tundra ?? Your "American" Ford has more imported foreign parts than Toyota & theres a better than average chance it was made somewhere else as well.. Ok whats next... oh yeah, the whole tiny button, low seats & feeling like your being squished & cramped with a passenger ( wtf??..:confused:) only to put up with an underpowered V6... You must either be a large , somewhat fat guy or your a claustrophobic large fat guy ( no offense), 2nd gens cab space is pretty big actually but whatever, enjoy you're foriegn made Ford & thanks for sharing.......:notsure:

i never noticed you got out of a tacoma..

i am thinking of getting a fullsized as well. i fill my truck up on hunting trips..if i ever kills something..i am screwed. space is a premium in a tacoma. with two guys..crazy premium.

Yeah, Tacoma got tight and I needed something a little bigger. I considered a mid-sized SUV but for the money they cost, I figured I'd just go full sized and keep the open bed. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten a better trade value if I went against another Toyota but, truth be told, I didn't really like the Tundra.

If you make it to 100,000km without having to take it back to the dealership for something other than lube and filter I will stab myself in the guts with a japanese samurai sword and put it on youtube for you and the rest of TW as my last action.

My Tacoma was a nice truck but it didn't make it to 100k miles or km without having to go back to the dealership for something other than routine maintenance... why would I hold the Ford to a higher standard?

And before the fanboys jump on me, I'm not knocking my Tacoma, it was a great truck but I'd be lying if I said it didn't have it's hiccups.

My 2011 F-250 work truck had no problem making it to 75,000 miles without anything more than tires and scheduled maintenance. I just had it weighed at 9,1xx lbs with driver (9,400 GVW) and drive it loaded like this, if not more weight, every day. I expect the same from my 2013 F-350 diesel. As a personal truck, I don't expect to do anything more than maintenance and mods.

I pretty much said the only way a full size truck would get good mileage if it was a diesel...

Im gonna throw a different dog in this fight and say that the F150 would be MY 2nd choice after Toyota, I like the Ford really. I just dont want my dollars ending up in the fat cat unions pockets that in turn is used to lobby politicians that vote against my political beliefs!

How about THAT spin LOL, A layer couldnt have done better.

    :der:

    J/k your right.

I does not matter what everyone drives. Everyone can say this is better than that but really it all comes down to taste and what suits you better. What options and what not your looking for.

And again this is not directed towards anyone but when someone comes to this wonderful site just to rub it in on how much better their truck is than everyone else. :duel:
