It looks like Chevy was the only one willing to step up to the plate to compete with the Raptor.. Well, Dodge had that whole Ram Runner thing a few years ago but I think it failed to really ever take off.... But the new Tundy's are so dope, I would have loved to see one all done up like a Raptor... It surely would have hurt the Raptor sales... Dang conservative Toyota!!

So I got set up with a laptop last night. Picked up an Asus aluminum body, 500gig storage, 6gigs of ram, touchscreen, with 3 years of antivirus/internet security, and windows office home/student. Thing is pretty sweet. Didn't need many bells and whistles so for $700 bones I'm happy.

I have yet to see any locally but there are quite a few of them on the interwebz, probably more on a Ram forum. The kit itself is legit, especially with the 4-link in the rear. Been trying to convince my boy to do it to his 2010 but he has no monies.:( If I had the pick between the Raptor and the Runner I'd go with the runner.

    This, by a MILE
You could do those two mods minus the alignment in under 3 hours in your driveway and save yourself some coin, just sayin.

word. the thing is solid. I declined a warranty because honestly, the thing is not going to leave my place, and there are no little bastards running around...or at least won't be in the next 4 years.

If i'm not mistaken, the Ram Runner was a kit that you'd have the dealer throw on, correct? It definitely looked sick and I'm sure its offroad performance is far superior to the Raptor.. But like you, I have yet to see any locally.

Yes and no, you would get the front, rear, and cab cage from the dealer, it was built by one of the baja guys, can't remember who off the top of my head. But you had the option of adding it to the bill at the dealer or installing it yourself. I believe the kit cycled in the high teens to low 20's front to rear and surprisingly it was not as expensive as I would have thought, especially when compared to the price of a Raptor with Fox's all around.

Seeing how you are the one that found that pic what is the point you are trying to convey?

Nice. I have loved my Asus.. its also aluminum. Although, I have had some issues with it recently. but it is over 5 years old

Good choice.. but, as others have said, could have done it yourself and saved. But, to each their own.

they sure are nice. tested mine a bit. flopped it on her side. thank god that the sliders, light rack, front bumper, and rear bumper all sticks out futher than my cab, so you can barely even tell! looks like i sideswiped a tree lol.

brandon does great work, he is one of the only people i will let touch my truck.
