The benefit of living at home and having disposable income that he has right now. Ride that shit as long as you can hahah, cause it won't last.

Agreed, Brandon is an awesome fabricator I just don't know if he is taking on any custom builds with how busy he is. I've been meaning to go over to the shop since I moved down the street.

honestly man if your not beating on it you dont need LT.
a badass mid travel kit can handle what most people on this site put their trucks through. you should consider doing mid travel front and long travel rear, it will save you $$$, and be more pratical.
unless your pinned the entire time off road, you really dont need it.
it does bring in the bitches and drop those panties though.

thats what i did... lol i was at home and spent over 20k on upgrades on the truck. i wish i put a fatty down payment on a house instead.

now after 2 years im back at home saving up for a house. lol. just moved in like a week ago. its awesome. :)

and your right with him in school and stuff i dont think he has any time for anything custom. i need some stuff done!

Good advice and I'm just a bit further ahead of your game plan right now. I was able to spend about 7g on my truck to make it do what I wanted and I just moved into my first home on Deicember 17th. At my age the panties don't drop for a nice ride, they drop for a great job and security. My lady could give a Fuck less about my truck, in fact she wouldve loved it if I didn't drop that 7g haha

    thanks!
is that a program to help you get a home in 5 years? or a down payment assistance program?

im a loan closer at bank of america and they have some great programs for first time home buyers and employees.

i plan to save up 20% of the homes value (100-150k home) so i dont have to pay mortgage insurance to insure i get the lowest payment possible!

as of right now, im soaking it up living back at home. nice home cooked meals, only a room to clean, man it sure is nice. lol

I work for a division 5 facility now so if you are looking to build a house, want custom metal furniture, or are erecting a commercial building then yes, I am your guy. Actually waiting for some payments before I begin work on some metal planters.

Just a bunch of old crap
I posed this question in the RTT thread, and I'm curious to hear from local law enforcement members what their thoughts are about sleeping in an RTT in a bar parking lot instead of driving home...

Yes. The Home in 5 is a great program. Although.. we just got off the phone with them and if you chose to do an FHA loan with the Home in 5, you can't use any of your own savings to put down.. I was hoping we would be able to use the home in 5 program and their 5% PLUS my savings and have a fat down payment. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. We would have to use a conventional loan to use our savings.

We have some options to go over, and the guy from home in 5 is extremely helpful and caring. Taking time to explain everything to us and making sure we get the best deal using the best option. Currently, it looks like we will be doing a conventional loan with our savings. He said we will have no problems getting approved and our rates will be great. Especially for our age.

And like Jon said.. I've spent too much money on the truck.. time for a house. :D

Also.. speaking of the truck. Just got home from signing my refinancing paperwork.. lowered my payment by 170 bucks! So.. saving money.. getting a house. Feelin good.

    Thanks Dad.
