    That's quite promising honestly.

All I know is if my engine shits the bucket I'll happily toss a D4D in mine.

    Hmmmm
My next truck may be a Nissan. Toyota doesn't seem to care if I want a diesel. 4x2 is fine with me.

Niassns reliability is one of the worst, I had a frontier and it littery just fell apart at about 95k .

I know other with titans that have said the same.

Id wait a few years for it to be out before jumping on it that's for sure.

No way would i buy it just for the diesel, but it might push other manufacturers to put Turbo diesel options on their small trucks.

Id be willing to bet that when alot of Diesel trucks hit the market and there becomes a demand for diesel, that the price of diesel will be Huge, I know its expensive now but Oil companies will see the demand and will charge alot to compensate for the MPG one would be getting to make it just as expensive to run a gas motor? Thoughts;)

Still a nissan. You can keep it. As soon as I can afford to trade in my maxima it's gone. A 1995 Nissan Pathfinder was the first vehicle I owned, and it was great. They've gone down hill terribly since then with their quality, reliability, and customer service. This is the last one I'll ever own.

A side note about those pathfinders: they were rugged as hell, but very prone to frame rust. Nissan didn't back anyone up when their trucks were failing safety inspections due to frame rot.

    Some stuff...
I dunno, that would be a tough decision. I guess it depended on the models (SR5, TRD, etc.) they offered.

I've driven a Hilux overseas and at the time I wasn't horribly impressed with it. They seem a bit on the small side. And I would say not a lot of get-up-n-go, but the one that I drove was fully armored so a lot of extra weight weighing it down.

Most people who say they want a Hilux have never actually seen one in person much less driven one. I think they just want one because they don't sell them here. If we got the Hilux and the Tacoma was sold elsewhere everyone would probably be begging for the Taco.

Also, over/under on how many more threads we can get on the diesel Frontier?

The pic of the pump I posted is $5.07 US gallon for 85 and $5.48 for 91
