going into my z71 gmc. im basically looking for a "plug and play" (or sort of) replacement for my smokey 5.3.

 

and ive been looking all day and only found a few lq9's that were in the 12-1800 dollar range. i guess ill have to do some reading to see what all is needed (computer and accessory wise) for an lq swap

 

Hello San Diego! While I'm in the area, I figured I'd check out some of your scenery. I am looking for some mild trails with lots of stuff to see that I can drive on this weekend.
Oriflamme Canyon looks interesting, what are your thoughts on that and I am open to to other suggestions as well. Not looking to climb rocks the size of my truck or tear up my paint job too bad, but would like to see some canyons, river/streams, dunes, hills, and I love trees.

Little bit of mud wouldn't be too bad, I don't want to get stuck or tear the trail up though.

 

we have a knack for having shitty clay shit mud that makes it no fun.

 

Welcome to SD Jeremy, yeah oriflame is fun ,doable, right now its raining but dries out quick, if 4x theres corral canyon & the TDS loop is about 3 hours & can be done with no damage but probably not a good idea when wet , Pine valley/bear valley possible
