I am not sure how many of you follow Dipyourcar.com and what not. They just released a new video. I figured that some of you would like it. The possibilities are going to be endless with the amount of colours you can do.

    Enjoy!

This^ would not waste the time and money on a bumper like that, ifs it's primed already just slap some bedliner on it

Will it hold up trough a car wash? I take my taco through the wash once or twice a month and don't want to waste my time. I apologize in advance if this question has already been answered a 100 times

I take my truck through the wash twice a week and I've had no peeling occur.

When you did your rear bumper did you take the black plastic off? If not should I. Bumper looks great so whatever you did works I'm just worried about the edge and getting up under it

not necessary if you make sure that you spray that edge well. of course, you can always get as detailed as you want. Just remember, if/when you peel, you'll have to repeat that process. I didn't. and it looks great.

Ive had some buddies tell me that they haven't seen it done well and they wanted to take a look at mine. When they came, they couldn't tell that it use to be a chrome bumper, and that it looked professionally done. Only main key to it is to layer slowly, don't do too much at first. I even did mine with rattle cans.

I'm going to be doing my entire truck as soon as the weather turns warm. (not for the sake of the plasti dip, but for the sake of me) I'm also going to purchase a sprayer instead of doing it with rattle cans so I can cover more. Looking forward to it. Might even try to make it a side business. I've done two sets of rims, and already have more people wanting me to do their rims. Only heard of one other person in the area (Arkansas) doing it, and turns out my buddies say he is horrible, and it looks like cottage cheese dried. lol Hoping to find someone that would let me do their whole car (anything sporty) like a black with dark blue pearl colors and racing stripes. Figured it just takes a few good vehicles to get the word out.

I've been contemplating how detailed I'm going to get regarding door jams. Thankfully, I've got time to decide.

Just give it a week to cure. Will be fine. I think it holds up to at least 1200psi pressure. It's pretty durable.

I did my emblems in red and they turned out great. But with all the snow and ice I'm waiting til it dries out to do the bumper. Last thing I want is water dripping out from under the plastic cover and ruining it. May redo the grill so all black and red match
    Will post up pictures after

Looks pretty cool man. I think it might look awesome if you left the lower valence and the panel underneath the headlight red. Just my two cents, but it looks good.

You should do the lower part of the flare. It would flow better

It's going to depend on where you live. It's going to last a lot longer in places where there isn't a lot of rocks gravel, salt, sand etc. I've had my grill done since last summer and it's still holding up. I am going to have to spray a coat or two once spring gets here. As long that you have a lot of coats and they're thick, you'll be fine.

Bedliner doesn't come off like PD. If you don't like it I am not sure how easy it is to take off. Plus BL only comes in one colour.

It will be fine if the coats are thick and it's done properly. If you look on Youtube there is videos of people running their dipped vehicles through the carwash without any problems. I've had my first project on my truck done a year next month and they are still holding up through the winter and wand washes.
