I need to get my 2014 to have an Alcantara wheel right when I pick it up, so does the older wheel fit the 2014's switches and steering wheel trim or is it 2014-specific?

Probably need more info for this one. When you ask about an "older wheel" what do you mean? 2013? 2010? Why not get the new wheel redone after you get the truck home?

It takes about two weeks to recover a wheel, so not dealing with that downtime.

How old of a wheel is directly swappable with the 2014 wheels?

Sweet. Thanks for that info. Now to find a used wheel!

Why not buy a new 2014 wheel, send that one out to get redone...then when you get it back, sell the one that came on the truck?

Because it would cost way too much. No reason to pay for a brand new wheel when I don't need one.

It might be a wash when you figure taking install/removal of the airbag and such twice, compared to just once...you also recoup a good chunk of change when you sell a two week old wheel

Also, are you getting the shift-boot or knob done as well ? Or other interior pieces ?

It'll look rather out-of-place with just the wheel recovered, IMHO...

I won't wait at all to get the truck.

Yes, other parts would be restitched including new plaid insert seats.

Not sure what years are I terchangable, but the buttons on my '14 are much different than the buttons on my '13. And there's more of them.

Got my truck last night. It's a 2013, and the PN for the wheel is the same 2012-2014. My hookup price is still $250 which is silly for a wheel core--they're generally around $75.

It's silly to me to go through this much trouble for a Alcantara wheel cover even if the wheel was $75. You're driving a truck not a Ferrari. Might as well cover the headliner while your at it.

I don't get it but to each their own I suppose? Make sure they put the center strip in your wheel so you will know when your wheels are pointed straight :p
