    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
Your coworker approves the Enve 29's :D

And for the record... I've had more e13 guides and chain rings fail on me than I can count. Those instances just left a very bad taste in my mouth about E13. Used to like their stuff, but much happier with other brands now.

Man, you are reeaaallly making it hard for me not to buy those new e13 trs-r wheels when they come out! It's just hard to justify dropping 1200 bucks on a wheelset out here in the desert. We have a lot of rocks that just love killing wheels.. Personally I love e13 products though. I had a major problem with mrp guides on my dh bike all summer, just kept breaking them with very little effort. Switched to an e13 guide and haven't had a single problem. ..

But damn you for making me really want those wheels!! ;)

EDIT* heres a wayyyy better one of my buddy much clearer picture! super bad ass gopro

lol i wouldn't recommend the current e13 wheels for rocks tho unless your a racer (like me) and have extra hoops they don't bend but do dent pretty easy…the new ones however i posted the link to are going to be an aluminum similar to the kind used in the novetech wheels with some other things done to them…get the 800 dollar set that are the non race wheels I'm sure you'll be stoked on em! you got some time to think about it there not out yet ;) http://buy.bythehive.com/ethirteen/Wheels_2

Oh man, phx is super rocky! Tons of very technical, fast and rocky terrain. Similar to bootleg, but some trails are more rough than that.

You mention Novatec, you know much about them? I only ask bc I may be able to get a great deal on a set.

i have a buddy that works for them and another buddy who rides for them, there good wheels especially for the price, as far as best wheel strength wise iv ever ridden is a mavic 823 i couldn't bend one if i tried but there heavier than shit and a DH wheel too ha in my opinion i just don't like DT swiss there hubs are garbage and mavic hubs i don't think are to great either…fun fact tho, i know mavic and dt swiss hoops are both made in the same factory in i want to say china? not totally sure if its there tho so i wouldn't be suppressed if most the other rims now are made by the same people…if you want a solid fairly priced wheel set id recommend getting stans ZTR hoops and building them on like some like e13 or hope hubs even kings or profiles depending on what kinda cash you can swing, i smashed on a set of those ztr hoops and they held up perfect! id say about the same as the novetecs both saw lots of bike park miles too, i have buddies who are fairly light (140-160 pounds) and they run the ZTRs on there DH bikes with no issues

even the wtb i23s are pretty solid or even the new i25s if you don't care about weight will be a bit stronger

I've got 823's on hope pro II hubs on my dh bike and they are as true as the day I got em.. so definitely with you on those!

I've currently got stans flow hoops on my sb66c and so far so good.. not as bling as some others but I figured I'd ride them until they died..

My buddy Cam just started riding for Novatec and has had a lot of great things to say about them.. plus if they hold up to the abuse he puts them through then I should never have a problem with them..

I have novatech diablos on my Bronson. High engagement hub. They are great so far.

How are high engagement hubs compaired to regular hubs? I have profile elite mtb hubs on this wheel set for my bronson. 204 points of engagement, they sound ridiculous. I havent gotten to ride with them yet though

    Yeah.
I upgraded the star-ratchet system (or whatever they call it) in my DT Swiss hubs. Basically went from 20 degrees between engagement points to 10 degrees. Helps mostly when doing technical climbs or cranking over obstacles.

Profiles must be loud haha. I know industry 9s are. I would be riding with my hint ranger hubs which are decently loud and then roll up or get rolled up on by someone with i9s and can't hear myself think haha

Yeah thats what i figured, helps you slap power to the ground right when you want. San luis obispo has tons of techy rock filled climbs that could use some extra engagement no doubt.
I know  profiles are crazy loud haha i couldnt pass up this wheel set. A friend parted out his carbine and went to a 29er from a 27.5" and i happen to be building a 27.5"
 so wah la, super nice wheel set w/ profile hubs for a super good cash deal

Just put on my new Race Face Carbon Next 35 760mm with Atlas 35 50mm stem. Only one ride but loving the wider bars so far. Amazing that the Next bars weight 180g for 760mm when my Haven Carbon weigh 180 for 711mm. uploadfromtaptalk1391646974435.jpg

Its pretty awesome. Besides them being as loud as a rattlesnake, being able to begin a stroke anywhere is really nice. I am in love with the Diablo wheelset. Same with the High Rollers they are wrapped with.

OK, here's a coupla shitty fon pics of the new whip, #16 in the "collection"...........

2014 Giant Anthem X 29er. Sadly the Fiziik seat, 90mm stem, SLX front derailleur & Giant lock-on grips have been retired before the first ride thanks to the nice test ride I took on one before ordering mine. Just had my buddy leave it in the box since I already had all the stuff to swap in before the bike got here. Was fun unboxing it and doing it myself. Got XT front der, Oury lock-ons, WTB Speed v seat & a Giant 100mm stem to take their place. Added nice Cateye backlit computer for night riding, Candy pedals & have XTR 981 hollow pin chain on the way to retire the KMC that came on it. Has Fox Evolution CTD fork and shock, SLX hydros and 2x10 shifters & Schwalbe tires. Lizardskin fork boots and chainstay protector being ordered. Can't wait to hit the trails!

That trail is super fun, it got my butt kicked on a 6.3" travel santacruz so a 3.5" bike would be rough. It's an 8" trail for sure, steeep decents and rocky cliffs everywhere. So steep I couldn't get far enough back on my bike to keep myself on two wheels and some parts are so loose and rocky it's like riding down a river of baseball sized ball bearings. Also some of the turns are so tight dual crown forks can't make the turns haha it's a trail that humbles you for sure. Everybody is guaranteed to crash on it at least once
