Thanks man! I just learn as I go

Yeah I have 10.5 right now so I don't think it will be a problem. Plus the type of wheeling I do isn't full flex generally.

hey guys, I know this isnt the suspension thread, but since I have a first Gen i figured Im entitled to ask here, plus there is alot of knowledgable people in here

Im getting my lift ordered this weekend.

    Billys all around
    Toyotec springs
    an AAL for the rear

Am i missing any parts? I seen that some buy a bracket that goes on the rear diff for the brake line i believe. Is this necessary? Anything else?

I have heard of shackles, not sure what these are for. and longer u bolts??

    TIA gentleman

Finished the 1" body lift today. I was having a tough time with the cab as it shifted about 3/8" forward when lifting it and I couldn't get it back, even though I was able to get all the bolts in. So, I got in the truck drove, backwards about 5' and hit the brakes. It lined up perfectlyz, so I torqued everything down. :)

Had to adjust the shifter to line up with the gear position.

And got the steering adapter installed. Pretty easy, but somehow ended up with only one wheel turn to the left. I do things right, cuz I do them twice. :(

    eme5evys_d5c4090abbf52d9d7a1844e900547586f65bdc2b.jpg

Front bumper with the adapter is straighter than it has been in 8-9 yrs, since I tweeked at Katemcy Rocks, TX. :)

Ride height looks and feels good. Feels like I'm sitting in my wife's Dodge Ram 2500. Well, not quite, but it does feel noticeable higher. :)

The kit is from 4Crawler Off-road. Overall, pretty easy install. The instructions kinda almost get in their own way, but once you read them through and get into it, pretty simple.

Extended brake lines are recommended but not necessary. I'm running an AAL in the rear with stock shackles, brake lines, and u-bolts with no problems. Sounds like you're good to go

Stuff and things that make it better.
you should also get a brake proportioning valve extender. Something like this http://4x4.fatbobsgarage.com/toyota-brake-valve-proportion-bracket-1987-2006-p8479.aspx you can make your own from home depot parts or buy one.

I thought this was a bike frame build at first, looks like a head tube.

Yeah I guess it kind of does. Ever since I started welding (6 months or so ago) I look at the tig beads on bicycle frames and have so much more respect for them now

Took the rear bumper off today. Planning on build one here soon so wanted to get an idea of design. Will be some sort of high clearance out of 2x2 or 2x3 that wraps around even with the bottom of the tailgate.

This thing has seen better days.

Also mount the other d-ring mount up front and cut the bumper to clear.
