No one else going yet. The Mountain Loop Highway is East of Everett, Granite Falls is on the way. The round trip is around 100 miles from Everett.

Was it the gasket or a hole in the pipe? It looks it was shooting liquid forward.

Hey, I drive a Toyota truck. Those things can't ever get stuck, even straight out of the factory...

Even I know better than that and I carry a set of chains to wrap the tires just to go over the mountain pass on i90.

Went up Green Mountain on Sunday. It was very icy below 3k ft. I dont think I will go back up there for a long time. If any one goes up there bring chains. A jeep with us caved in the front sliding into another rig. There is a lot of trafic up there too.

^ There are a couple on CL right now. $50 for rim and tire I think:

I was just going to ask if anyone on here has a Leer canopy with a lockable twist handle (like the one pictured below). I am considering buying the Leer handle to install on my SnugTop but I am not sure if it will fit properly. I have done a bunch of research but could not find any specs or swap info. I just don't want to spend $40 + $12 shipping to find out it wouldn't work then have to pay to ship it back.

For those of you going off road on a budget

I used my bike pump (old style up right) to air up from 10 psi to 20 psi in about 5 minutes.

I did that once too, except I went from about 20 to 40. Took me about as long on one tire as Will's pump did for all 4 of his tires. It was shortly after that I found a $60 cheapy from Harbor Freight. It works well enough in cold weather, and ok in warm, but it definitely needs time to cool down after pumping up 4 tires.

Yes, I would want to use the hand pump to go to 40psi. At 10 psi there is little resistance so it goes fairly quickly.

Another must have tool (wish list) is a welder. One of the rigs broke a main leaf. He was able to weld it back together, wheel out and drive back to B'ham. He had a hand held wire feed with gas shield. The gas was in a 1gallon size bottle, the wire was in the gun and we used 2bateries to get 24 volts. It worked realy well.

I have factory steel spare with tire, $25. All like new with new tread, only bad part is the tire is old.

EDIT: nm, those craigslist posts are crazy nice. Forget my stupid set.

Crazy! I've seen a how to video somewhere that shows you how to weld with car batteries. A good trick to know I suppose.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I have that exact handle on my Leer. What info. did you need?

EDIT: apparently I have the "old" version that has been discontinued due to corrosion and failure issues

After over a month of getting the run around by 4 Wheel Parts in Lynnwood.... my bumper finally showed up! Just wrapped up getting it painted. Going to let it dry over night and hopefully get it installed tomorrow after work. I need to address the blinker situation since I'll be losing the factory blinker once my stock bumper comes off. I'm going to wire up a dual filament socket and bulb in place of the factory corner parking lights. I ordered the weld on light hoop with the bumper, but of course 4 Wheel Parts fudged that up and it never showed up. I'm thinking about just saying screw it all together and just running it without and eventually top plating it just to clean up the look a bit. I'm ordering a 30" LED bar in a comb beam pattern tonight to put in place of my 7" spot lights. Also going to spend some time this weekend building a new front skid, exactly like a Budbuilt since the buttom of my radiator will be exposed and my current skid is a joke. Planning to use 1/4" plate since I've read a lot about Budbuilts 3/16th bending and tweaking when actually used. It will add a bit of weight but I'll shed it once I switch to synthetic line. I'm running OME 882 coils up front so a little extra weight up front might be nice anyway.
