OME 887 coil springs, Bilstein 5100s (front/rear), Light Racing UCAs, Wheeler's HD 1.5" AAL, 18x9 Pro Comp series 7032, Toyo Open Country A/T II (LT285/65R18)
    Hi everyone,

Thanks again for being so helpful. One last question.

I current have Bilstein 5100s in the rear (exact model: Rear 05-13 Toyota Tacoma, 0" - 1.5" Lift. *-TA-BE5-C476-H0/24-186728).

Will those be okay to use in conjunction with this AAL? Or do I need the longer Billies? Says 1.5", but just want to be sure. Think I'll swap out my stock UCAs with the ones from Light Racing, and go with OME 887s.

    Thanks again!

I guess they're poly. Wheeler's sold me these:

    Working on it
Whole bunch of questions that have probably been answered already:

Running an ARB bumper and Superwinch Talon 9.5 SR up front. Going to be adding pretty much a full set of skids and sliders.

With 886 coils and Dakars on OME shocks, what do I need to do to get a fairly level stance?

What are the odds of my alignment/handling being good after the install? Should I just put new UCAs in while I have it torn apart anyway?

What else should I just go ahead and screw with while I have it torn apart? Probably do a u-bolt flip with new bumpstops in the back, anyone have anything else to recommend?

What else do I need to change when doing the install? Do I need longer break lines in the front or rear? Do I need to order any additional bushings beyond what the kit provides?

    Thanks for the help!

Can't answer the height question but for the rest:

    1. I would get UCAs if they're in your budget. They make alignment easier and some other benefits.
    2. You might want to look into replacing the needle bearing in your front differential while you have it torn apart, you'll get vibes from it eventually. The ECGS bearing is the way to go. I need to replace mine soon. Here's a thread on it: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...nt-differential-bearing-vibration-thread.html
    3. You'll need one set of bushings for the Dakars, everything else should be included.
    4. Extended brake lines for the rear is recommended with the Dakars. The stock ones are about stretched to their limit if you flex a lot.

    Edit:
    5. Might as get extended collars for the dakar center pin too in case you end up needing shims. http://www.autoandtrucksprings.com/products/Center_Bolt_Head_Lengthener_2_Pcs-1662-0.html

This is and OME thread, not a Bilstein thread. Might be better off making a new thread under the Suspension section of the forum to find out.....or search around to find a related thread. Might get an answer quicker.

Does anyone else feel like the 885's are too stiff? It's a pretty hard hit when I go over bumps and RR tracks? Could it be the TRD Bilsteins not dampening the hit like they are supposed to?

You put 885s on the stock shocks? Could be the issue. They're stiffer than stock springs but I don't find them overly stiff.

anyone else have the dakars? I've had them for about 4-6months now and they've sagged a lot... is that normal? i never took measurements but i can notice the height difference... and i haven't added skids or anything to it yet i actually just took off my nerf bars to make room for sliders...

Lots of us have them. I haven't remeasured since I put mine on in June but they don't appear to have sagged very much.

If you measure now, we can still figure out roughly out much they've sagged. OZ has a really good thread of averages lift heights with the Dakars.

Same here. Without putting a tape on it, they appear to be at the same height as they were... Just a slight rake.

I've had my Dakars on exactly a year and I've lost .5". That's also after adding bed bars, a Yakima basket, and a kevlar 315 to the bed. Not bad I say.
