I know a few have done this... Boxrocket comes to mind. Sounds like you have two problems, axle too far forward and bro lean, right?

1.5" Shackles are a bandaid for me until I aal.

IIRC, the dakars contribute to this and some have had to use axle relocation plates to move the axle back just a bit. The relocation plate goes between the spring perch on the axle tube and the springs.

Here is a link where this is duscussed:http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/225486-rubbing-post-axle-relocate.html

    Relocation plates:

the relocation plates are a good fix for rubbing at the front or rear of the wheel wells. I suggest getting the plates at 4crawler.com They allow for two positions, either 3/8" or a full 1" of adjustment in the axle location so you can get it just right.

I have a set of Dakar springs that i am putting on this weekend. Right now the truck has bilsteins in the front at the highest setting and a 1" block under the leafs in the rear. I am happy with how it sits now but there is alot of axle wrap and i need a little more weight capacity for pulling my boat. will pulling the third leaf down in the dakar pack lower the lift enough to be comparable to the way it sits now? i dont really want to remove an overload because i feel i will need it for towing. has anyone done the dakars in the back with bilsteins/stock springs in the front?

Will the 2.5 degree shims move my axle back at all?? I thought I read somewhere it's brings your axle back about 3/4 of an inch?

Or do only axle relocation plates move your axle back?

Thanks for the help guys. I wanna get this part in the same time as my camburg UCA's and add a leaf come in. So I can do it all at once.

    Thanks for the fast responses

i put these on to fix the rubbing and also the bottoming out of the slip yoke on the drive shaft. took all of an hour to slip under the leaf pack by myself.

Here's my truck with a OME lift kit. I went with 882 front springs and dakar rear leaf with aal's.

Looks great man! I'll be going with that same setup in about 4 weeks!! How far you think the back will be down compared to the front, without the AAL?

Looks great, will most likely be doing the same. I've got two questions though:
    1. Is that the 10 mm JK spacer I see there?
    2. Got any pics of CV angles?

I'm running 285 - 75 - R16s Duratracs with 16x8 Method double standard wheels with 4.5 back spacing. And All Pro 1.5 longer than stock shackles.

Aw man, that looks so good. Glad to see it worked out. Jelly of your aal. For the meantime, I'm going to set my shackles for a 2" setting (ugh!!!) to maintain rake with shell. Did you go with a diff drop or no?

Yeah I got cornfed 1" diff drops and I'll post pics of the cv angles later once I pick up the truck from the alignment shop.
