Check out the backdoor and frontdoor in the area as well. Serious gnar trails. Even the little clawhammer trail will tear shit up.

Ok heres a good poll idea how many of you guys with 35's use your truck offroad without a snorkel?
If not arent you worried about wrecking the engine?

This is the reason I went back to stock front fenders, so I could install a snorkel. Having that open intake scared me and doing the in-cab intake was nice but did get a bit loud and droning on road trips with an inclines or towing my trailer.

I try not go cross water if I don't have to but. With the open intake I am a little more wary now in general. I need to do something about it.

Interested to see how that goes!

I would say don't wait too long. Water can be a tricky thing, and it's been my experience that water recoveries seem to escalate quickly once something goes wrong. I have a lot more piece of mind now that I have the snorkel.

I have a snorkel, but I never go through anything deep enough to require it. I used to, but then realized deep water is terrible for everything

^^This. Water...silt...mud...clay..Its bad for EVERYTHING I used to want a snorkel and am now glad I did not pull the trigger on that. However having open fenders the intake is def more exposed and I will probably look into a relocate in the near future. Same as Jamie I try to avoid deep water as best I can now. It does look fairly cool for pictures and what not but you also have to realize the impact it has on water ways when we run our trucks through any depth of water. Remember to Tread Lightly :D

Cleanest filter I had was with the in cab intake. Only thing that ever built up on the filter was swisher sweet wrappers that got sucked in from the cab.

I just enclosed mine. However, I never go through deep water. Nothing good can come of dunking a hot motor into cold water...

Just finished my flares, fenders, pinch welds and cmc, took 6 hours non stop. I'm happy with it, I'm going to reinforce the fenders a little they flop in the wind a little bit. I'm happy overall here's what they look like with 265/70/17. 315's get put on tomorrow. 2in cut all around.

Thanks man, can't wait to see what it'll look like tomorrow. Hopefully I chopped enough of the cab mount

Eh, get enough off the cab mount to mount the tires. You will be cutting more and beating the truck with a hammer again.....you have only done the minimal stuff so far....

Into the cab for me, my exhaust is way louder than the intake so don't have a problem with it.

Yea figured as much I'll try and find a spot to really get a good flex and mark some more spots to cut and hammer

There mounted! Add me to the list!! just have to finish the door trim on the fenders. It rubs the uca at full lock a tiny bit. I think 3/4 spacers should do it. Can't wait to get out and wheel
