How often do you change your oil?

Im a AMSOIL dealer so as recommended by them once a year or 25000 miles

 

Hey Whopper did ams oil make a oil filter that lasts a year? Is this filter worthy of buying?
I'm a bit leary of a filter being on the truck for a year, is it going to hold up to the filtering standards?

 

Whopper is worth changing the tranny oil over to Ams oil? What fluids have you changed over to Ams Oil?

 

I change mine at 5000 when the light flashes.im sure it would go longer,but oil is cheap,motors are expensive.

 

every 6 months (comes out to between 900-1,200 miles.)

 

Synthetic 10w30. The first one I did at 3k, because it's a fresh rebuild. But now I'm not going to do another until I hit 8k. And I'm talking about mileage on the motor, not the truck, of course.

 

Does anybody know where I can get an oil analysis? I've been wanting to do one just for giggles and just don't know what to do or where to take it

I changed all fluids over to amsoil and picked up about 2mpg

 

amsoil has the best filters on the market you change the filter out at 14500 half way and if any damage happens due to lubrication they will pay for the repairs

 

What's the part number for that filter?

 

I just always changed the filter with the oil every 5,000 miles. But I use the OEM Toyota filters

 

Full synthetic with RP oil filters every 3K miles on all my vehicles.

 

Im changing mine every 10000 miles with mobil 1 synthetic and mobil 1 extended filter

 

And not recommended you'll void your engine warranty (10K)

 

When we were having sludge issues with the 1mz motor (I believe that was the one, I could be wrong) a customer only had to show proof of doing 1 oil change per year for the life of the vehicle to ensure that Toyota would cover the repair. And it didn't matter what type of oil they used.

 

What's considered proof? Should I start keeping oil receipts or is a complete log book good enough?

 

Not sure about the log book, I know they wanted receipts. But don't quote me on that, cause I am not certain on the answer.

 

3-4k. Redline Oil + ZDDP additive. 1600-1800 ppm. Fully synthetic. Or before and after a race. Whichever comes first.
