to clarify, from reading on their site it says that this model is for long beds only. It has a 3" main tube, don't know if it makes a difference or not. I'll try calling them and asking.

If you wanted to buy them for a shortbed you could, you'd just have to cut off the excess tubing and put end caps on them or reweld the ends on. Just a suggestion. their black so you wouldn't notice.
